About this property

5 Star 5000+/- Sq Ft Sourdough Canyon Luxurious Lodge with Creek

No large parties or weddings, no gatherings of more than 20 people. This Sourdough Canyon lodge sits at the base of the Gallatin Mountains on the pristine waters of Sourdough Creek. The lodge is just 10 minutes from downtown Bozeman, Montana, 20 minutes from Bridger Bowl and world class trout fishing on the Gallatin, Madison and Yellowstone Rivers.

This luxury vacation lodge is an ideal one of a kind setting for a family or group vacation. This spectacular home along with the majority of the stunning furniture and custom cabinetry was built by the previous owner with loving attention to detail.
Nestled in secluded Sourdough Canyon, surrounded by old growth cottonwood and aspen groves, you will enjoy wildlife from every room, a giant back deck with a scenic pond. We will be working on pond this year and crossing fingers to get a stock permit eventually. But, there is beautiful Sourdough Creek on the property that has some great fish. Be sure to observe fishing license requirements.
The lodge sits just a few hundred yards from Bozeman Creek Trailhead which boasts miles of groomed cross country ski trails in winter and the best mountain biking and hiking in Gallatin Valley in the summer.

This lodge is comprised of 2 levels to maximize function and privacy. On the main level the Great Room enjoys nearly floor to ceiling southern facing windows with gorgeous light, a two story river rock fireplace which is gas log and remote operated, and leather furniture for relaxing by the fire or enjoying a movie. The large kitchen was designed with the chef in mind, with a 4 burner gas oven, ample counter space and every necessary appliance so guests may prepare gourmet meals with ease. Adjoining the Great Room and Kitchen is the Family Room with another TV and french doors opening onto the deck. One bedroom with full bathroom is on the main level with views of aspens and Sourdough Creek. Completing the main level is a generous mud room with plenty of storage for both winter and summer equipment and top of the line energy efficient washer and dryer.

Upstairs the master suite includes a large walk-in closet, king size bed, flat screen TV, windows overlooking the trout pond and creek, double shower head two person shower and giant tub with built in jets.

The other upstairs rooms consist of one suite with a king size bed and views of the entire Bridger Mountain range and the Bunk Room which sleeps 4 in handcrafted bunk beds. These rooms share a bathroom with double sinks and a large tub and shower.
This home comes with a property manager nearby to meet all your needs. She can provide you with a fully stocked kitchen upon your arrival and linen changes throughout your stay for an extra charge. Don't be afraid to ask her for anything else you may require!

The adjacent shop is now vacant and we have improvement plans in the works. Should be a fun project and will keep you updated.

Best kept secret
Better in person. Plenty of room, well appointed, gourmet kitchen and the game room is outstanding. The beds are very comfortable and the house is very very quiet. Close in location but private and close to hiking. It’s our second time visiting and trip #3 is in the books.

beautiful property, inside and out
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was very comfortable and spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect for us, convenient to everything but also isolated. I would definitely stay here again.

Family visit with Grandparents
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house was immaculate, warm and inviting. Sue was lovely to work with. We wanted to visit our son at MSU and brought the Grandparents along. This was the first time one of the Grandparents had visited Bozeman and what a treat to stay at such a nice property. This was a very special vacation for all of us.

Perfect stay for daughter’s wedding
This place exceeded our expectations in every way. Online pictures does not do this home justice; more beautiful in person. If you are headed to Bozeman for a place to stay, don’t think twice about booking this place. Great value for what you are getting.

Amazing home!
This home was perfect for our weekend with our young adult kids...the creek, the fire pit, the beautiful family room and fireplace and the spacious bedrooms were a wonderful place to spend time together. Also, the incredible game room added so much to our fun time together. This home had everything we needed and more and we were grateful for Sue's help and attention. Can't recommend it enough!

I have been in Bozeman for over 20 years and visited the 20 years prior to final relocation. I am also a Real Estate Broker since relocating to Bozeman in 2000. I love to fish, hike, cycle, and think Bozeman is the best place around. So many opportunities for families.

Why they chose this property

This home was built in the perfect location, just 10 minutes drive to downtown Bozeman and 20 minutes to the Gallatin River and Bridger Bowl Ski Area, the lodge is secluded, private and serene. The previous owner built the home and is a master wood worker. You can see evidence of his work throughout this beautiful property

What makes this property unique

Property location provides ample opportunities for hiking, fishing - including serious Blue Ribbon fishing nearby - cycling, hiking, ... Just sitting on the deck in the summer sipping wine and listening to the creek is a nice way to relax at the end of the day.
