Photos and Description of this Cosby holiday cabin

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3-4)

'HEARTS BURSTING WITH LOVE' is the perfect place to spend a honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, special celebration, vacation or weekend getaway. Come bring your fishing poles and catch your trout supper or just kick back, and build a fire creek side to roast your hot dogs and marshmallows. When the sun goes down, relax in the hot tub while gazing at the stars and listening to the crickets. You'll never want to leave!!!

This one-bedroom cabin is great for couples anytime. It is just steps away from Cosby Creek with it relaxing sounds of ever moving water, our very own natural 'water feature'!! It is secluded, but easily accessible to the Smokies, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, NC and other local and area attractions and entertainment.

'HEARTS BURSTING WITH LOVE' is a 'Hand Hewn' log cabin located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Cosby, TN. The cabin is rustic in atmosphere with exposed beam ceilings throughout. It has most of the comforts and modern conveniences of home, maybe more. This cabin features a kitchen, dining area, living room and bathroom downstairs and a bedroom with a queen bed upstairs. A daybed (upstairs in the bedroom) provides additional sleeping for an extra adult or for the convenience of guests with young children.

The cabin has two covered porches for your outdoor living enjoyment. The back porch is usually the favorite. There you can enjoy Cosby Creek as you prepare supper on the grill, enjoy a meal, or relax in the Hot Tub. There is a firepit near the creek.

Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

My honey and I had a wonderful time in this getaway cabin. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub next to the creek, but we were a little disappointed in not being able to hear the water from the bedroom because the windows can't be opened. Otherwise, we were not disappointed in anything. It was perfect for two and just as described. We only wished we had booked it for more nights!

Great trip

  • 5 of 5

Took my teenage son on a Dad and son trip. Cabin was exactly what we needed. There was a day bed for him and it worked out fine. Relaxing on the river was great after a long day hiking. Anita was super nice and very communicative. She even called us a few times just to check on us. Great experience.

Hidden Treasure

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cabin for our 21st wedding anniversary. It was the best anniversary we have ever had!! The cabin was so pretty and clean!! The owner was very sweet and helpful!! The creek is beautiful. It was so peaceful and quiet. It is close to Gatlingburg too. There are hiking trails near, and a great restaurant called Carver's Applehouse. We were sad to leave, and wished we had stayed longer. We can't wait to come back!!! We are bringing our kids next time. They will love it too!! Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!!!

Pure Solitude

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 nights in the most peaceful, beautiful cabin in Tennessee!!!! The sounds of the gently rushing creek directly behind the beautiful deck with hot tub(which we sank into every night), immediately removed the stresses of life!! I was brought back to my childhood with the creaky, screened back door fondly remembering the yell of my grandfather, "You kids quit slamming the door!!!!" I let it slam EVERY time I walked out to the deck!! Every minute was peaceful, quiet with only the sounds of nature to remind you how good God is!!! We loved the people in the area, white-water rafting on the Pigeon River, the views each day of the Great Smoky Mountains and the train ride into Bryson City, NC. The ammenities in the cabin were perfect, comfortable and plenty of space for 2 adults. The owners were so nice and easy to deal with. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this slice of heaven in the USA!!!!! Mostly grateful for keeping the price so affordable!!!! Barry and Jamie North Texas

Amazing cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is amazing, very rustic yet cozy, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The hot tub was just what we needed after a long drive and several traffic jams. We would most certainly would return. I just wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights. There was so much to do, we unfortunately didn't get to do everything we wanted. We followed our GPS but it led us to the wrong place, the owner come and met us, even recommended a local restaurant. We went to Smokey Mountains National Park, and Cherokee, NC. It was only a short drive away.

I would highly recommend this place with a few exceptions. The bedroom is a loft upstairs and it has a very steep staircase so I would not recommend it for anyone with small kids, the elderly, or someone with a disability. There are 2 beds, a twin size day bed, and a queen size bed in the loft, most teenagers wouldn't want to stay in the same room with their parents. This cabin is away from it all, so a car is needed. There is a creek right out the back door with a swift current so letting small kids explore would not be a good idea. There is a jacuzzi tub upstairs in the loft, but the hot water tank doesn't have the capacity to fill it. The heat from the gas stove is a bit dry, and it gets hot fast, even on low. I would recommend a cast iron kettle to put on top of the gas stove to put moisture in the air and/or keep the windows open, which has the added benefit of hearing the creek out back, which is very relaxing. The stove is electric so if you are used to cooking on gas, it will be different. The cookware is all teflon coated, if you are worried about the adverse health effects of cooking on teflon bring something to cook on from home, if you forget it's not too far away that you can't pick up something at the store.

Owner's Response: I would like to respond the comments in the above review. It seems that the reviewer did not realize that the cabin's location is rural, not in a city. The stairs have handrails on both sides for safety. Cosby Creek is a valuable asset to our cabin, but course children need to be supervised. The rural area does require a vehicle for transportation. There is not a gas line in the area, so electricity is the only way to go. The cabin is one bedroom, used mostly by couples, but the daybed does provide additional sleeping for small children. The cookware is nonstick, not teflon. Also, the jacuzzi located upstairs has been removed. It is an update that we have been planning for a few months, just waiting until the winter months when it would not be a disrupting to guests. We had never had a complaint about it before.
