Fantastic camp, wonderful sunsets, great fishing.

  • 5 of 5

Camp was great. Cabin was clean and plenty of room. Had a fun time out on the lake fishing every day. Just a total relaxing and quite time. Was well enjoyed by both my wife and myself. Nice that we could rent a boat right next door and were able to come and go and leave our fishing equipment in the boat since the cabin was right next door. Thank you to North County for all there friendliness threw the week. Did I mention the sunsets. Just wonderful. Thank you Jeff for a fantastic week.

Great rustic cabin getaway!!!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the cabin with four other family members for a snowmobiling and relax weekend. The cabin was a great place to stay! Right on the trail and on the shoreline of back lake. It was a lot of fun to sled to tall timber lodge for dinner and cruise the lake home. Also buzz over for takeout. Rented two sleds from tall timber and drove them right to the cabin in less than a minute. Drove out 75 miles and back for lunch and buzzing the lake. Raced around and then drove to dinner. Never even started my truck. Great place for a real rustic log cabin getaway!

Great ATVing and resting location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for 7 days of excellent relation. All the comforts of our home plus a large front lot to the water's edge and a nice fire ring. Plenty of space to play games or enjoy the ducks and sounds of the Loons, especially at night as we sat in front of the fire. And if you enjoy seeing stars at night---great place to recline in our zero gravity chairs to view the night sky.

Fantastic place if your an ATVer, your 5 minutes from plenty of trails.

As for inside the cabin--very comfortable--up to date appliances and plenty of silverware, dishes, glass wares and pots/pans, comfortable couch and love seat.TV fulfilled it's job, plenty of channels. It's rustic but comfortable.

We purchased bundles of wood at a near by lumber yard, good size pieces and super dry $4.50 per bundle, well worth it as bringing wood from south of Concord is dangerous. Be careful of the Ash Borer bug----keep the North Country Free of these bugs.

There are plenty of choices for places to stay---but this place is well worth the money and drive to this area. If we were to come back to this area, we would stay here again without any doubt.

Winter wonderland for Snowmobiling

  • 5 of 5

I had never been to Pittsburg before, but had heard it was a great place for snowmobiling - that is an understatement! Moose Camp is a GREAT location, easy access to the snowmobile trails, right on the lake, plenty of room. There were 5 of us, - we had 3 snowmobile trailers, 2 trucks and a jeep parked in the driveway. Plenty of room in the cabin - the pictures do not do it justice! The cabin was warm when we arrived, very clean, plenty of wood for a fire, room enough to cook meals, linens provided (big plus not having to bring sheets and towels). I'd go there again in a heartbeat. Thanks Jeff!

Cozy is an understatement!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot find enough words to describe this cottage. The ones that come to mind first are cozy, peaceful, relaxing, slice of heaven.....

The location is perfect as it is right on the water and I actually think it is closer than it appears in the pictures. Every morning I would walk out the door and take a couple of steps to sit by the water with my coffee in hand and the only sounds were the wildlife. At night I would fall asleep listening to the loons. Any worries you may have had are forgotten by the tranquil atmosphere. Upon opening the door to the cottage the coziness washes right over you. I was amazed by the spaciousness and the extra room in the loft that has four beds was a pleasant surprise. The beach area that is walking distance from the cottage was definitely a plus for the kids. There is an abundance of hiking trails and pituresque areas that are hidden throughout the whole area. The kids and I had more fun driving down the logging trails & discovering unexpected scenic spots tucked between the trees. If you are looking for the slower pace, quieter side of life this is definitely where you need to be. All it takes is one visit to be bitten by the Pittsburg bug. I am already planning a return trip to the cottage. I would recommend this property as it is well maintained and it was such a pleasure dealing with Jeff who was very accomodating.
