We stayed for a week & found the property to be exactly as advertised.
It is in a great location, close to two Metro stops & a Safeways.
It was one of the best stocked properties we have stayed in.
The only item we did not find was a basket to place the washing in after it was dried.
Although we did not eat at any of the local restaurants there are many in the area.
Finally a tip for the Metro when returning back to the unit - Use the Navy Yard - Ballpark Metro Station & stay
in the rear of the train. Then use the exit to the left when you get out. This will give you the most protected (from the weather)
& shortest walk back.
We will definitely try to stay here if we visit Washington again.
The house was amazing, perfect for our small group of 3 adults and a toddler. Beds were comfortable and we all felt very safe and secure. Location was great, just 5 min walk to the metro and the ball park. Couldn't ask for better location. Our only complaint would be the bathroom door did not latch shut. So we had to block the door with the chair so our toddler would stay out.
Great place to stay close to everything. Perfect for our two grown sons on a trip with mom and dad.
Great apartment in very convenient location. Easy walking distance to Metro and good supermarket.
Apartment was very clean, well equipped and well furnished. Owner was quick in replying to queries prior to arrival. Definitely recommended.
5 of us stayed at the DC Nationals Ball Park Vacation home, 3 adults and 2 teens. Helen was prompt with responses to questions and was very easy to work with (though we really didn't have any issues to deal with!) Other than a few footfalls we did not hear more than a peep from the resident upstairs. We spoke with her briefly, and found her and the other neighbors with whom we spoke to be polite, helpful and friendly. Pictures are very representative of the unit. The bedrooms are a bit larger than they appear in the pictures, and we were able to stash all of our stuff in the closets and dressers. We had an easy time walking to the Navy-Ballpark Metro only a few blocks away, and the convenience of a grocery store right at the top of the escalator at the Waterfront Metro station was perfect (the Waterfront Metro was a bit of a longer walk but still not too bad even in the 100+ heat indices). You can see the Washington Monument and the Capital from the sidewalk. If hadn't been so dang hot we could have walked to those sights. This home has a well-stocked kitchen in terms of what would be needed for basic meals. We had plenty of room to relax after the hours of sight seeing. I would give this a 4.5 stars if possible, with the only real drawback being the two chairs in the living room were not very comfortable. But, really? That is the only "problem" we had with the unit, minor. Go to Big Sticks bar and grill just down the street. Affordable, great food and service.
The property was perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids), and was close to the metro and to the ball park where we attended a game. It was clean and well equipped. Helen's communication was good. The city noise (sirens, etc.) was noticeable, but not bothersome. The neighborhood presents as a bit questionable, but if you focus on walking in the direction of the metro, ballpark, and the restaurants (no reason to walk in the other direction), not an issue at all, even at night. We felt safe at all times. I would stay at this place again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to any family visiting DC.
