Wamberal is the next suburb from Terrigal, with the two suburbs being separated by the Terrigal Lagoon Estuary - ideal for paddle boarding or kayaking.
Wamberal has small clusters of high-end cafes, restaurants and boutique stores dotted along the beach front strip, Ocean View Drive, and on nearby streets. In 2009 the Wamberal Surf Life Saving Club was redeveloped to accommodate a cafe and award winning restaurant, in addition to new function rooms and surf life saving amenities. Wamberal also has a Country Club, "Breakers", commemorating ANZAC efforts; its amenities include a golf course, bowling green and tennis facilities in addition to a brasserie.
This property is across the road from the beach and easy walk to everything in Terrigal.

Fantastic location right on the lagoon where you can launch kayaks off the back lawn with an easy walk to the pub, shops, restaurants, and the beach. Plenty of off road parking. Well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and modern décor with a great BBQ and rear deck but it was a pain not being able to use the main entertainment system to play DVDs and defaulting to a lesser screen. There was a minor electrical problem as the air conditioning in some rooms kept tripping out. All in all a tremendous time was had by all. We will be back.
Wow this house is truly a great getaway for a group or as in our case a family of 6 adults and 4 grandchildren we were blown away from the moment we arrived and usually when you rent there is something that could have been better or something that could have been included but we have know complaints what so ever. Although not in the center of town the lake location on a flat block steps to the lake & canoes, balconies from most bedrooms to wake and look out at the misty water was just perfect. For my son-in-law and I just a short walk to the beautiful Terrigal Hotel for an afternoon refreshment was a bonus, the ladies can go as well. If you want a bit of Cardio of a morning do the walk from the Lakehouse through Terrigal run the Skillion around the park and back through town, "perfect". Our plan is every second year so the littlies will remember their holidays at "our" lakehouse.
We timed to perfection just after some bad weather we had perfect Winter days and cosy nights with air con in every room as well as lounge and living in the first week of July. The only thing we had to take were sheets etc doonas and beds were great and as a bonus there is a few things in the pantry not sure if left by others or the owners but appreciated the little things as well as a couple of beers in the garage fridge so we left our excess for the next as well.
Highly recommend, probably a bit expensive for a couple but great for a group.
Perfectly clean and maintained.
