Excellent place for solo traveller, nice to have the 2 burner stove top and full sized fridge. Would have given it a 5 but it could do with a new mattress and maybe a more thorough cleaning. (The tub needs recoating.) But that's just being picky - otherwise location and general amenities all good.
Great view, except you are almost on top of that Tiki bar, which is staffed by wonderful people but some times the music is a bit much. The unit is fairly clean except the floor needed washing. Badly! Expect some sand because you're on a beach but within an hour walking on the floor, my clean socks were pretty black.
I emailed with my concern over how dirty the floor was and there was no broom in the unit and by the evening someone had dropped off a broom and mop. So on the bright side, it was a reasonably priced stay at an older hotel right on the Gulf with a wonderful salt water pool, cabanas and bikes to rent, the bed was ok, kitchen was adequate, bathroom and towels were clean, grocery store was within walking distance, traffic wasn't bad and the people were friendly.
We enjoyed the beach and the surf. The June weather made the warm golf wonderful. The room on the other hand had issues. As others stated, it is directly over the bar. I wondered why the hotel would have a room listed on a site like this. And you get what you paid for. The noise from the bar/pool left little quiet time in the condo. The smoking lounge directly below the balcony made spending time outside unbreathable. The refrigerator had issues and would make a loud popping sound. So between the sound of the bar finally ending and the early morning pops from the fridge, sleep wasn't an added bonus to this vacation.
This place is not fancy, but comfortable and met our needs perfectly. You simply could not have a better location, right on a beautiful, uncrowded beach, and conveniently close to everything you could want or need - restaurants, grocery stores, shops, etc. The hotel staff was super-friendly and helpful for checkin/checkout, restaurant suggestions, and printing boarding passes. Our favorite restaurants were Sea Hags and PJs Oyster Bar. It was fun enjoying the live entertainment at Sea Hags and Ricky Ts. Looking forward to coming back! Although the unit had beach chairs and umbrella, we splurged and rented the nicer ones on the beach.
Everything about this condo and location were amazing!!!! ( only problem we had was really bad weather - didn't stop raining our whole trip and we never got to the beach :( ) However that aside - this was not the fault of the property and it was exactly what we expected. Yes you are on the second floor above the tiki bar - but you are also facing what would have been the most beautiful view ( if not for the weather) and the fact that you are near the tiki bar is probably why the price is so reasonable - We cannot wait to return to this paradise... Its small but was PERFECT for my husband, myself and our teenage daughter
I wish I could give this property a 5-star review, but can only give it a 3-star review. The condo itself was well-stocked and had a great beachfront location, but the being on the second floor directly over the bar and pool area was a definite downside. Three out of the four nights we were there, there was music and bar noise until late. One day, there was a large party that started at noon and continued with some of the partygoers yelling, cussing and carrying on until at least midnight. The on-site staff did not seem bothered by it. If this condo was moved to the top floor, it could possibly warrant a higher rating. It was nice that it stocked with beach chairs, towels and umbrella, but the umbrella needs to be replaced. The sleep sofa could also use a memory foam mattress pad, as it was a little uncomfortable for multiple nights. Treasure Island was lovely, and I would love to return, but I do not think I would return to this condo.
