Visit world-class museums, exciting concerts, or historic Florida landmarks. There's always something to do.
The Condo at Sunset Chateau was great. Not too high up not too low just right. We mostly stayed on the beach all day and went out at night. Thank you Liz, at itrip, for your help. We plan on coming back maybe about the same time next year.
The pictures were spot on. No surprises. Was a very nice place to stay, in a great location.
The only negative I could even fathom would be that there was no beach blanket or towels, as advertised. I'm glad I brought 1 beach towel since I spent at least a little of every day on that wonderful beach!! This certainly is not a deal breaker for me, I would definitely love to stay here again. I was concerned the owners would think I
took them since the information indicated that inventory was taken, which included the towels.
Finally, the sunsets are magnificent every night, 10/22/16-10/28/16.
My family and I had a wonderful stay. The beach was the closest I've seen. The unit was clean and just perfect for our family of 3. We definitely plan on returning!
Perhaps our expectations were too high, but being on the beach in a privately owned condo, we were expecting a first class experience. Don't get me wrong, the location was "the best". Parking was good as well. But the unit itself was the disappointing part. There is a whole laundry list of items that were sub par in our estimation. Bottom line is that we think the owner has not likely visited the unit in several years. To start, we thought there was a dishwasher, which we would have used to wash all the dishes before using them, but there wasn't one and, not knowing if the previous occupant actually washed the dishes (and not wishing to wash all by hand) we used disposable dishes, cups and plastic ware. One of the requirements we sought was that there was a pool on site. Which there was, but the water was cloudy and not at all inviting, so we didn't use it. (The Gulf waters satisfied our needs, however.) The beach items supplied in the unit were in total disarray. Plus they were rusty and corroded. We didn't bother. Others: shower head and toilet seat need to be replaced, LR ceiling fan needs repaired, bath vent does not work, DR light does not work, lights in bath don't match (tacky). Overall, it appears that the routine maid service is keeping the dust under control, but the "deep" cleaning hasn't been done for awhile. We would not likely stay in this unit again, but would definitely keep the area/building in mind for future.
My family and I had a wonderful vacation in your condo. It had everything we needed and more.
The pictures were exactly like the condo. No surprises! Everything was what we needed. I will stay there again
This unit was everything we needed for a great weekend getaway. You cannot beat the views. Sunset chateau lives up to it's name! The association includes access to a beachfront pool which was thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a great dinner on the charcoal barbecues they have by the beach. We ate out most of the time but the dinner we made beachfront and watching the sunset was by far the best meal we had! The location was nice, far enough away from the big hustle and bustle but close to good restaurants, within walking distance to Caddy's on the beach, and a short drive/cab ride (5-10 mins) to St John's pass boardwalk. The condo was spacious and beautiful. The updated kitchen was clean and had all of the items we needed. Beach chairs were provided which was nice and there were beach toys to use too if you have kids. If we make it to Treasure Island again, we will surely book this condo again!
