Overview

About the property

4 bedrooms, 3 baths-big jacuzzi tub, chef kitchen, Weber grill, Wii-U, Xbox

Welcome to Antlers Crossing -- a beautiful log home with soaring beams, luxury furnishings, plenty of space for families to spread out, and tons of entertainment options for all ages!

Walk up to the house through a path of lavender. The great room features a large, antique gas log fireplace, leather sofas, comfy armchairs, high ceilings with gorgeous wooden beams. A rustic dining room and gourmet kitchen are nearby -- the kitchen has granite countertops, luxury stainless appliances, beautiful custom cabinetry, and is stocked with everything you'll need to cook for your guests. A deck off the dining room features a seating area and a large Weber gas grill for cooking out (new one purchased for summer 2017).

Two first floor bedrooms each have a queen bed (one with Westin Heavenly bed mattress) and share a full bath with an extra large tub and shower. There is also a closet with a washer and dryer.

Head up to the second floor and find the gorgeous master bedroom suite featuring a pillowtop king bed, vaulted ceiling, reading area, and a large flatscreen TV with a DVD player. It has a luxury bath with a high-end BainUltra jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and dual vanities. A loft on the second floor has a 50' HDTV with premium cable, a Sony Nintendo Wii-U with games for family play time, and a bookcase with a variety of books and movies for all ages.

On the lower level you'll find a large rec room with a full-size pool table, a super comfy poker/game table, a big screen tv, an X-Box Kinect play area, and lots of boardgames. A fourth bedroom on the lower level is a bunkroom style kids will love. It has 2 bunk beds made of logs - each one has a twin bed over a full bed. This bedroom has a 3rd full bath.

The lower level has a second deck -- this one, like the one off the dining room, overlooks a small seasonal stream. Relax and watch the many birds and deer in the woods.

This log home is located inside the Massanutten Resort and very close to many of the activities and amenities -- we're only about a minute by car from most of them.

We provide linens/pillows for all beds. When you arrive you will find they are all made up for you, ready to go, unlike many rental homes in the resort.

We are also one of very few rental homes that provide bath towels for your stay (12), so you won't need to haul a suitcase of bath towels along - just some for the waterpark or pool, if you plan to use it.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and serve meals -- just bring your food. The oven has two baking compartments to make cooking big meals easier.

We also provide a pack-n-play and a high-chair in the house for those with babies (bring your own linens for pack-n-play), and we have a full closet of toys for infants, toddlers, and young children, so you don't need to bring too much with you.

In the summer, we provide a Guest Pass so that our visitors can use the private Owners Swimming Pool in the resort - just up the road. (Guests staying at any rental home in the resort are charged a daily user fee at the pool even with this pass.)

Occupancy: 12 persons (all adults and children in the home count towards this limit). As our occupancy is limited to 12 persons at any time, we do not rent this home for parties or events.

Non-Smoking, No Pets Property: This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property (outside or inside). And although we understand that many pet lovers travel with their furry friends, this home does not allow pets.

Minimum Age of Renter: Primary renter must be 27 years of age or older, and the majority of guests must be at least 25 years of age. A list of guests must be provided as part of the rental contract.

About Monica

The owners are natives of Pennsylvania, but now live outside Washington, DC. They wanted a place to get away and relax, and love that the resort has so much to do all year long.

Monica purchased this house in 2010

Why Monica chose Massanutten

It's a real log home, with wood all over. It feels like a ski resort or a mountain getaway should -- different and serene. You know you're in a special place right from the moment you walk in the door.

Lovely cabin, that's well stocked with quality amenities.

  • 5 of 5

Spent a great Easter vacation here as a family of 8. Comfortable beds, lots of games and a Jacuzzi to relax in.... good instructions communicated from owner. Lots to do in the resort area if someome wants to venture out with other people. We chose to hike the mountain peak on a hiking trail and play ultimate frisbee in a neat park as a family, all within a few miles. Great place to stay!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

A unique gathering was planned and we rented 3 homes located together for a family birthday and reunion of close families. This beautiful log home was a perfect place for one of the families to stay and play. The owners were most accommodating.

We highly recommend this lovely home for your stay.

Amazing property for a family Christmas!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this home! We stayed here for Christmas 2017. We had four adults and three children (we usually rent a bigger house than we "need" because we like the extra space). The family ranged from 18 months old to 76 years old. There was something for everyone, and plenty of space for people to spread out of they wanted to play games downstairs or read quietly upstairs. The kitchen and furnishings were top-notch. The only things we needed to bring were towels and food. Everything was well stocked in the kitchen. We appreciated the toddler-friendly dishes as well as the fancier options. We also appreciated there were toys and games for all ages, including a pool table! The owner, Monica, was amazing and easy to communicate with. She made the whole process easy and provided relevant information in a timely manner. She also went the extra step - she decorated for Christmas, which thrilled the children. And she provided an Antler's Crossing coffee cup filled with candies for me. How did she know that I buy a special coffee cup for every vacation?! The house is exactly as pictured - sturdy with high-end details throughout. The neighborhood is very quiet and we slept well (the comfortable beds helped too!) I'm not a great sleeper so this is a big compliment. There are little noise machines in each room if you have trouble sleeping. I love these! The kids were thrilled with the bunk beds. The house location was perfect. It was about one easy mile from the ski lodge and about 2-3 miles from the water park. We did the ski lessons (we are original midwesterners) and they were very helpful. I would absolutely rent this home again. If we head to massanutten this Christmas, this is the house I'll try to find. Thank you, Monica, for making our trip memorable, special and stress free!

Perfect mountain home, well-stocked, updated

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time with our 3 family party of 14. The room layout worked great and the home was very well stocked, especially the kitchen. Location was perfect for the slopes and the water park. Walls are bit on the thin side, allowing some noise to carry, otherwise would be 5 stars, but that's to be expected in a mountain home. Nothing major for us, just something to consider if you have toddlers or infants.

Perfectly Rustic & Updated

  • 5 of 5

We went with two other families for a long weekend of skiing. It was a really great house and worked perfectly for 3 families of 4. The kids had the entire basement to themselves! The owner was very responsive and proactive in making sure we had a great stay. Because of the beautiful woodworking throughout the interior, the walls are very thin. We could have a conversation with the couple in the bedroom above us, each talking in a normal voice level. It wasn't a big deal for us but a consideration if you're very private. The little creek down the hill was great for the kids but definitely difficult for the younger ones to get back up. All in all a fantastic house! Charming, updated, well-maintained, and super convenient!

One amazing week at Antlers Crossing!

  • 5 of 5

Our entire Family loved the warm, cozy feeling of Antlers Crossing as soon as we entered the door, especially our 4 year old grandson! The cabin is so convenient to all the amenities of the resort. After a long day of enjoying the indoor water park, tubing, skiing and other outdoor activities, Antlers Crossing offered the perfect place to retreat to and get warm in front of the fire! I just loved kicking back in the loft during the cold nights and listening to the laughter, and great memories being created as our Family enjoyed playing pool, games, cooking and some not so good attempts at karaoke. It was such an amazing winter vacation and we look forward to returning to Antlers Crossing in the summer!
