Wonderful out of town getaway within Saguaro National park.

  • 5 of 5

The Bunkhouse is a perfect desert home away from the city. The location is ideal for hiking the Tucson Mountain range, the Saguaro National parks, and for sight seeing. Lou and Ozzie make the stay comfortable in every way. For those wanting complete privacy Lou and Ozzie make sure you are not disturbed...but for those wanting a more social experience Lou and Ozzie are great to hang out with for conversation or hiking or gathering recommendations. The Bunkhouse is well equipped , comfortable and clean. There is more than enough storage and closet space. The office area is a great space for anyone who needs to stay connected for business. The landscaping is a relaxing oasis. Orange and grapefruit trees stand right outside your door. And a huge front porch awaits you for morning coffee...quiet dinners...sunsets...or just kicking back. The internet worked well for our business and pleasure requirements.

We would highly recommend The Bunkhouse for a Tucson home away experience. We plan to return.

relaxing and an unique experience

  • 4 of 5

Pam and I enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse. We were looking for something different and unique and found it. Lou and Ozzie were great hosts and allowed us our freedom to be alone but knew if we needed something they would be there. Great location for trips to the rustic part of Arizona and the parks. Thanks for a good time!

We had a wonderful stay hosts were kind and helpful. Enjoyed the wildlife and sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

The property is well cared for and we had all the comforts of home. It was great to have coffee on the patio in the morning and watch the quail and cottontails; in the evening we watched the sunsets and listened to the great horned owl and doves. A relaxing stay and close to trails, the desert museum and town.

Great Tucson Oasis on the Desert

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a week here in April 2017. Let me just say that it was awesome, it exceeded all of our expectations and we already are planning our return trip. Lou and Ozzie the owners are excellent to work with, and we found them to be very friendly and down to earth and very helpful. The property allows a lot of privacy with a huge private deck and great back yard area with amazing landscaping in every direction. We truly loved watching the sun set from the deck with great mountain views and an amazing variety of cactus and palm trees to enjoy. We also spent one afternoon at the pool and found it to be a true oasis on the desert with great landscaping and a relaxing quiet area to enjoy Tucson's great weather. The property is just outside the Saguaro National Forest (breath taking views) and very close to the Desert Museum and Old Tucson movie studios. Its outside the city and that makes it very quiet and makes for nice star filled skies to enjoy during the cool Tucson nights. Although its outside the city we still found it easy to get back and fourth as your only about 15-25 mins away from Tucson with great access to I-10. All in all we feel this was a real find and will now be our normal lodging choice for our annual Tucson retreat. Thanks again to Lou and Ozzie for their amazing hospitality and their amazing Oasis on the desert.

Little home in the desert

  • 5 of 5

Love staying in this cute little home among lush desert surroundings. This was my daughter's and my second stay here - plan on coming again next year. Great friendly owners, beautiful setting right in the desert, and not far from anything you might want to see. The price is very good also. Love everything about it!

Less than we expected

A little worn out, and not much in the way of amenities.
