I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY SITE FOR THE BEAR VALLEY OUTDOOR INN.
I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT BEING ZONED COMMERCIALLY DID NOT COVER VACATION RENTALS. THEY SUGGESTED THAT I NEED TO BE ZONED COMMERCIAL RECREATIONAL.
SAUK COUNTY HAS REQUESTED THAT I STOP RENTING TEMPORARILY UNTIL THIS IS CORRECTED AT THEIR NOVEMBER 15, 2016 MEETING.
I AM SORRY FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE.
This was truly a spectacular experience with nature. The grounds have been designed to provide a haven for wildlife. The wide variety of flowers displayed in numerous gardens drew butterflies, dragonflies, and many many birds. We watched two hummingbirds fly back and forth each evening to one feeder and numerous other birds feed at another. There was also a beautiful Lilly pond and a trail leading to a small stream.
The accommodations were spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Bill was generous to leave a dozen fresh eggs for us as well. We would definitely return to this sanctuary.
We were looking for a place to relax, and loved this place from moment one! Bill is friendly and we loved the farm fresh eggs he provided. My husband and I don't get a chance to eat breakfast together very often so it was a real treat to enjoy the tasty eggs together!
The cabin was clean, and was well equipped. We typically go out to eat when on vacation, but throughly enjoyed grilling and cooking at the site. The rooms are nicely decorated with many pretty wildlife art pieces to be enjoyed. We loved the bird feeder right outside our living room window. We had cardinals, finches, woodpeckers, ect to entertain us each morning.
Loved not having cell / internet service on site because it really allowed us to unplug and just enjoy God's beauty.
Definitely have The Outdoor Inn marked as a favorite! Thanks Bill!
We were so grateful as a family to have found this gem!!! Beautiful scenery and exceptional service and help from bill...just an overall amazing place for couples or families.....our kids adored the two dogs....they are still talking about them...beautiful cabin style suite with plenty of room...we WILL b coming back.
We had a fantastic stay at the Bear Valley Outdoor Inn. Upon our arrival, Bill introduced himself and offered us a dozen farm fresh eggs. Inside everything was extremely clean and very well maintained. All the amenities are there for your convenience, as well as towels and plenty of blankets. The decor is fantastic, the views outside are inspiring (even in the winter time), and there is no cell phone reception whatsoever....I couldn't have asked for anything more.
I would definitely like to stay at the Bear Valley Outdoor Inn again as am extremely curious to see the views in the summertime. Plus, I need to test the fishing around there.
We recently stayed at the Bear Valley Outdoor Oasis with a few friends. The accommodations were amazing and perfect for our little group! This truly is an Oasis, surrounded by some of the best views the state of Wisconsin has to offer! The lodge is very unique, with much character and comfort. We absolutely loved it! Cannot wait to book it again next year!
What a great way to spend time with family. Quiet out of the way and very relaxing. A nice bonfire on Sat night. Saw an assortment of birds and frogs. Serenaded by coyotes while sitting around the fire. They were at half a mile away but still really cool. Encountered people on horseback when we happened to venture out. Local watering hole M&N was a fun time too. A great place to go with family or friends
The wetlands at Bear Valley Outdoor Inn are alive with the mating calls of the Sand-hill Cranes in the spring! We are located in the heart of beautiful Bear Valley and the confluence of five scenic drainage's. 750 acres of public land lay to the south. The remaining boundaries are surrounded by a privately owned wildlife refuge.
We are centrally located within a half hour of some of the most popular attractions of Southwest WI as well as some unique and tranquil settings within minutes.
Some of the activities that can be enjoyed from our front door are hunting, fishing, biking, motorcycling, snowmobiling, bird and wildlife watching, or just relaxing around one of our camp fires.
Also popular is the quality trout fishing available within walking distance. Trout fishing continues to get better as Bear Creek is currently under a stream bank improvement and trout habitat project.
The Outdoor Inn is popular with deer and turkey hunters as we offer a game cleaning facility including a hoist and walk in cooler.
Bill is a lifetime resident of the area, and as a bird and wildlife enthusiast, he can acquaint you with the numerous activities you might wish to enjoy.
