Fantastic apartment in leafy West Bloor Village

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is well appointed and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. It is very close to the subway station and local bars and shops.

We had a great time in the village, there are parks nearby for walking and nature watching and we enjoyed the annual Ukrainian festival whilst we were there.

Mila and Michel have been great in their communication both before and during our stay and we felt very welcome and at ease in the property.

I would definitely recommend the apartment to friends and family if they are considering a vacation in Toronto and would highly recommend the apartment to anyone else who wanted to stay at a home away from home!

Excellent short term stay

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our time in Toronto, and found the Bloor West Village neighborhood to be quite diverse. The house was clean and comfortable, hosts were easy to work with, responded promptly, and provided a comfortable environment to sleep and eat a few meals in. The only thing preventing this from being a 5-star review is the wifi and Rogers TV setup. Wifi was slow at best, and if watching Netflix it hampered the other users in the unit. Rogers TV service is slow and outdated (at least by the standards we've grown accustomed to) which ended up directing us to (the provided) Netflix, which is how we discovered the wifi was lacking.

Overall, we'd recommend his rental, and when we return to Toronto in a few years would consider it again.

Delightful Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this condo in July of 2015 and we were delighted to return for one more week this July. The interior features a stylish contemporary decor with tasteful accents throughout giving the condo a polished look. The gourmet kitchen has been equipped with side by side refrigerator, gas range, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of cookware for at home convenience. Just bring your laptop and plug in for excellent reception. The beds are extremely comfortable. This condo has plenty of living space. We highly recommend it and we will be returning for another week of July 2017. Our hosts are very accommodating.

The dynamic and exciting city of Toronto is a major urban gateway on Lake Ontario. It is home to tourist attractions such as the CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario and major theatre productions. Still there are many quiet, natural places to enjoy along the waterfront.

Walking »

Walk just 5-10 minutes to Bloor West Village, High Park or Public Transit. The TTC is the quick, convenient and safe way to get around Toronto and beyond. The subway system is linked with buses and streetcars to get you to all the great attractions in the city or connect to GO Transit and spend a day in Niagara Falls!

Biking »

Bike rentals are available nearby for you to cruise around the great attractions and adventures which begin at right at your doorstep.

Bloor West Village »

A great place to hang out, shop or just buy your favorite European breakfast. However, it is not an area where you will find a lot of top fancy/schmancy brand name products, but it will impress you and your friends with its everyday lifestyle, including mild nightlife and a great array of multi-cultural bars and restaurants.

High Park »

Toronto's largest public park features many hiking trails, sports facilities, diverse vegetation, a beautiful lakefront, convenient parking, easy public transit access, a dog park, a zoo, playgrounds for children, a couple of eateries, greenhouses, picnic areas, a bunch of squirrels and various events throughout the year.

See Beautiful Gardens & Nature »

From wild forests to the Chinese gardens and the famous Japanese cherry trees High Park has a truly genuine and beautiful vegetation - well taken care of by the city.

Experience the Waterfront »

A walk along the Grenadier Pond on the west side of High Park will make you forget you are in the largest city in Canada. You will find ducks, geese and hiking trails down to the Lakefront.

The Park's Off-leash Dog Park »

The park has a designated off-leash area for dogs and several paths where dogs are allowed to run free. While the dog park is not completely fenced in it is surrounded by natural borders such as thick bushes and trees.

Check out the Zoo »

The mini-zoo at High Park has lamas, buffaloes, bison, deer, peacocks and a few other animals including cats and pigeons : ) The zoo is open from 7am until dusk. Free admission.

Outdoor Sports Facilities»

A great swimming pool and water slide, tennis courts, baseball diamonds and soccer fields are all present inside the park but many other sports can be played on the large grassy fields.

Kid's Adventure Park »

The Jamie Bell Adventure Playground is a large, unique play area designed in part by children. Make sure to include a visit to this adventure park this summer with your kids!

Winter Activities »

In the winter, an artificial ice rink is operated to the north of the Pool for skating and ice hockey. The hiking paths are maintained for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Tobogganing is terrific family fun for people of all ages. The hills are at Howard Park Avenue and Parkside Drive.

Shakespeare in the Park »

During the summer, the Canadian Stage Company puts on a selected Shakespearean play in the park's amphitheatre in an annual event called 'Dream in High Park', popular with Torontonians. The 2012 play is A Midsummer Night's Dream. The amphitheatre is on the hill side directly to the east of the Grenadier Cafe.

High Park meets the Martin Goodman Trail and The amazing Toronto Waterfront »

Toronto's waterfront - one of North America's largest recreational waterfronts - provides a scenic backdrop for many popular and entertaining attractions including Harbourfront, (the site of art galleries, theatres, craft boutiques restaurants) Rogers Centre (Famous for its retractable roof, sport and concert events), the CN Tower (Recently nominated one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World), and the Toronto Islands (a 10-minute ferry ride to 'cottage country'). It's also the setting of many big events including the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, the Toronto International Film Festival, the Canadian National Exhibition, Caribbean Carnival and Winterlicious.

Museums and Galleries»

Downtown Toronto offers museums and art galleries galore including The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) , Canada's largest museum and one of the top 10 in the world; the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Canada's oldest art gallery and home to more than 15,000 paintings; and the Ontario Science Centre, which entertains and educates 800,000 visitors a year.
