This is a lovely 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath newly remodeled home in a quiet and safest area of Washington DC. The house consists of 2 units:
1st unit upper level has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Main level has the living area, kitchen, dining and 0.5 bath.
2nd unit has basement, has 2 bedrooms, a bath, a kitchen and a living area on the lower level with private entrance to each unit.
We are located 0.8 miles from Georgia Avenue/Petworth metro and 0.5 miles form Fort Totten metro station Free parking for 4 cars
One set of washing and dryer is connected and working perfectly. The other is not connected because the house is rented as a unit.
I have a good taste for a good home . I also provide quality service for my guests..

The location is fantastic, quiet, safe and friendly neighborhood.
You have access to the entire house if you rent the entire house and if not, I provide unit code to individual as soon as payment is made. No problem for late arrivals.
To say this was a bad experience does an injustice to the word bad. We arrived at the house at 4:00 pm on Saturday and there were people going in and out. We walked up and said that we had the place rented for the next few days. They said we rented it on a different site for the weekend. The host had obviously double-booked it. Here we were with 8 people in DC at 4 pm on Saturday evening and no place to stay. It was a miracle that we found another place although it was smaller and only slept 7. We got in touch with Tunde and his excuse was that he was in Europe and he had it on both VRBO and the other site and his agent must not have caught it. No apology. He should not be allowed to list on the site!
The overall condition of the property was good. There are a few upgrades that need to happen before I can make this a five star. The rooms and general living areas were spacious for our group. There were 5 adults and 4 kids (age range 9 yrs. to 16 yrs.) in the group. The kids really liked that they had they own space downstairs. The kitchen area was nice and had dishes and utensils for us to use. We could all eat together, if we wanted to. The recommended upgrades would be to purchase a new bed for the middle bedroom upstairs, the bed has a dip in the middle. Add better bedding for the beds and additional bedding for the pull out bed. Needs general maintenance, i.e. paint, clean vents, scrub floors) needs TLC. Also, there were a few small ants even though we did light cleaning each day.
Once we figured out the bus and rail system, it was easy to get around and transportation to the bus stop via rail was a 10 minute walk. The location was great. We were out late a few days at night had not problems. The neighborhood is safe.
Tunde was helpful and attentive to our needs. I gave him feedback on all I shared in this review. He was very nice and brought extra bedding within hours of us calling. The family vacation was a hit. Everyone was satisfied and my son didn't want to leave the house because he liked it so much. If I vacation in DC again, I would stay here. Thanks!
The home is beautiful. It has been renovated but still has the character one expects of a 1920's -ish row home.
It does have two separate living spaces and two kitchens. The bedrooms are on the third floor and first floor.
There is a bus stop within two blocks and grocery stores and gas stations with in a half mile.
Eight of us stayed here very comfortably. There was enough room for all of us to share meals and also have our own space.
Somethings that will make the stay better:
This is an older home with an addition. It does have central air, but there are 3 floors.
The Master Suite on the third floor. The Master bath has a wonderful open air vent. This allows for the scents of the seasons to permeate the master suite. The fresh rain was glorious. However, we found the central air did work more efficiently if we kept the door to the master bath shut.
This house is wonderful, but in the hottest months may require a little common sense to maximize the AC.
The owner was attentive and accommodating. We could not have asked for a better host.
Thank you so much for making the trip great!! It was a huge relief to have the home to come back to after roaming around playing tourist all day.
The pictures do not accurately reflect the condition of the property. The walls are beat up and need to be repainted and the decor is subpar. We had a bad fly infestation in the downstairs area as well. Granted we didn't contact the owner until our last night but when we did, he was rude and abrupt. He thought we left the downstairs door open when in fact, that door was never opened and the flies were there at check-in. The linens and towels are old & worn and need to be replaced. The place has the feel of just not being clean. In fact, the kitchen trash can was full when we arrived. Although it was nice to have parking in the back, it's on a steep incline with not much space to maneuver and it made parking rather challenging. I would not stay there again nor would I refer anyone to this property.
We had 9 people, 2 children and 7 adults. We arrived and the place was clean and had food in the cabinet that was left for anyone. There is 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bath that are very spacious. The upstairs washer and dryer doesn't work but downstairs does. Needs a little work but otherwise beautiful house. I love the neighborhood and neighbors. Very friendly and safe with lots of transportation options. There are two grocery stores near by. We had a few issues with the drains but found it was only clogged. Loved our stay and would come back.
Upon looking for a place to stay for my family; looking through the area closest to the mall and just in time for the cherry blossoms. Found this great place; where pictures speak a thousand words; looks clean, and seems to be a great and ideal place to stay.
Was able to check in to the place early as the owner has allowed to check-in than the normal time allowed which is a good thing. Once my family have settled in; we started to notice that some of the bed sheets were not clean and had some stains. Also noticed that there was a broken TV in one of the bedrooms; the place also could use some renovation and the shower handles came off; also noticed that the property had a sign that it will be sold.
Rated it only 3 as besides of those minor complains; it is a quiet neighborhood at night, very close to the all the museums, and property owner was pleasant and parking is a big plus at the back of the place (which we really did not know until we went to the back and threw some garbage) This was the big surprise as we thought we would need to be back home super early just to avail parking.
Overall just a descent enough place to stay; once the place gets renovated and get rid of some of the broken things; it would be a 5 Star for sure.
We located at 0.8 miles from Georgia Ave/Petworth Metro station (Green/yellow lines) or Fort Totten Metro 0.5 miles (Red green, yellow lines)
