Why Diane and Ivan chose Anaheim

We absolutely fell in love with this one-of-a-kind home at first sight. This home has maintained unique features that are representative of Arts and Craft style home built in early 1900' but with all the modern amenities such as gourmet kitchen, pool, and spa. Best of all it is located within walking distance to Downtown Disney and Mickey & Friends Parking. It has been designated as one of several historical properties by the City of Anaheim. This home will provide a unique vintage experience during your stay but with all the comforts of a modern home.

What makes this house unique

In addition to the main house that can easily accommodate 10 people a completely separate playful guesthouse can be used for additional guests or kids and teenagers for their own space. Nightly views of magical fireworks sitting by the porch, swimming in the pool, or sitting in the jacuzzi tub will make your stay truly unforgettable!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Love the house - it was a great place to stay. So comfy, grand-daughters loved the playroom especially the dress-up clothes. Having the stroller was so handy. You had thought of everything! Great family time - thanks for making it possible. We hope to return again in a few years. Thank you so much.

Our Stay at Crone House

  • 5 of 5

Dear Diane and Ivan,

The Crone House is beautiful and our stay there was very enjoyable. The swimming pool was particularly appreciated after the heat and crowds at Disneyland, and the view of the fireworks was spectacular!. I want again to thank Ivan for his patience in instructing me on how to open the lock box.

Thank you for sharing your unique property with our family.

Perfect for families

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Upon arrival, we were impressed by how clean and inviting it was. The owners thought of everything to make this more like home: kitchen/cooking utensils, beach/pool towels, washer/dryer, and WiFi. Having two teenagers we didn't have a need for the strollers, high chair, booster seat, and closet full of dress up clothes but is really nice for families with small children. The guest house was meant for the kids - set up with lots of Disney decor and a seating area with TV and Wii system. When we weren't out and about, we enjoyed the back yard area with covered patio, plenty of seating, pool and hot tub. It was so fun to watch the fireworks at Disney every night.

I consider myself and family finicky when it comes to vacation accommodations. When inquiring about this property, I was impressed with how quickly the owners responded. They were very helpful before and throughout the stay with directions and helpful information. I was so pleasantly surprised with how great this place was. I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone else considering a home in the Disney/Anaheim area.

Exactly as advertised!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from an amazing 10 day stay at this beautiful, historic bungalow. It was exactly as described and even nicer than in the pictures. It was impeccably clean, the beds and bedding were of high quality, we were 10 minutes from Disney and we spent lovely evenings in the pool and hot-tub enjoying the fireworks. As soon as we arrived, we heard from Diane and Ivan to make sure that everything was okay. When we experienced a little problem with the air conditioning, they responded immediately. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic property!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first vacation rental and we will be back! The house gave everyone their own space and the pool was great. It was a breeze getting to Disneyland. Our teenagers loved the privacy of the pool house. The home owners were only a text away with any questions we had. The house has a rich history and was a unique place to spend a fantastic eight day vacation with our family.

Nice Stay, nice amenities, convenient location...

  • 5 of 5

This home had a lot of charm and character, and accommodated our family of 9 nicely. Our adult children enjoyed the pool and spa in the evening, and it was also nice to watch the fireworks from the back porch. Although we had no small children, I noted that the home was very accommodating to those who do. There were several strollers, a high chair, and the like, as well as an entire rack of costumes for your small children to borrow. Nice touch!

The home was clean and comfortable, although some of the mattresses (king and queen) seem overdue for replacement, and have valleys worn into them, making them a bit uncomfortable. Be aware that this is an old home, and has creaky floors etc., so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs if others will still be milling about while you are trying to sleep. Also, this is the only VRBO I have stayed in of many, that did not supply such basic things as coffee filters (conical), aluminum foil and saran wrap. So, just be aware to bring your own. Otherwise the kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils.

We also liked that we could easily fit our 3 cars into the locked backyard for safekeeping, and not drive the entire time we were there. If you are energetic, its a 20 minute walk to the Disney trams, and 5-10 more minutes into the main gate by tram. For some of us who didn't want to walk as far, there is a Holiday Inn about a 7 minute walk away, from where you can catch the A.R.T. (Anaheim Resort Transit) shuttle every 20 minutes. Passes for the shuttle can be purchased online, or in the lobby of the Holiday Inn. You can hop on the bus and pay $3 each time, but if you buy a pass, you save some money. One thing to note about this though, is if you leave the park right after parade or fireworks, it may be a very long wait for the shuttle, as for some reason, they don't use a bus large enough to accommodate everyone on this particular route. On one occasion I had to wait for the next shuttle 25 minutes later, and there were many people behind me in line that had to wait for even the next after that! When you are already tired and wanting to be home, this isn't the happiest place to be. So, knowing that, if you are using the ART shuttle, avoid leaving the park at those times.

Overall, this was a lovely stay, and I would definitely recommend the bungalow as a wonderful option for a large family. Thank you Diane and Ivan!
