Originally from Southern Europe, and now living between London, Hong Kong and Bali, I strive to make my properties the most accommodating in the area of town where I live myself- what I found to be the best ! As a seasoned traveler myself, I understand the importance of the comfort of home as well as an adventurous experience in a new city. I combine both of these to ensure a positive, memorable experience for all of my guests. I enjoy traveling, great food, and vibrant atmospheres and want to share that with others through our property locations. These locations are all minutes away from my friends and my favourite restaurants, bars, and shopping areas. We really love it here and know you will too! I look forward to welcoming you ! Paulo
Paulo purchased this Apartment in 2009
Why Paulo chose London Borough of Islington
Super location, great finishes, clean and comfortable just like being at home. High Speed Internet/WIFI connections. Top floor so very quiet, and with double-glazed windows throughout. Very bright with natural light, and with blackout blinds for comfort. It has a great open-plan spacious feel as a 1 bedroom apartment.
What makes this Apartment unique
Location close to attractions and transport, in a real London non-touristic trendy neighbourhood with all amenities from supermarket across the street to cafes, restaurants and even bars and pubs. The flat is very bright and airy, yet double glazed and with blackout blinds for comfort.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Worked well for us
My husband, daughter and I loved the space--especially having a way to cook meals and do laundry.
Great neighborhood location
Had immediate contact with owner answering questions. Check in was easy. Location is a few miles from London sightseeing. Bus stop is across the street and train is close by. Many great resturants nearby. Apartment is at top of steep, narrow stairs. There was a lovely rooftop deck, but can only have 2 people on it so our family could not sit together outside. Fast wifi, washing machine. Loved having an espresso maker. Only negative was when the owner asked to inspect the property during our stay. We wanted to accommodate her, but was uncomfortable with her insitance at doing it while we were gone because she "didn't want to disturb us." There is no safe to lock up important documents. We were concerned about leaving our property unattended. A friend stayed behind when she came to inspect and she seemed flustered that someone was in the apartment. After several emails back and forth, she decided to wait until we vacated.
Pauli and his team take all the worry out of renting an apartment. They have thought of everything and your questions are answered before you even think of them. The apartment was very clean and ideally located for our needs. An extra plus was the most amazing ice cream shop that was almost next door to the apartment.
I could not with for a better place to stay, complete with everything and great service and a complete information pack with instructions for everything. Even though heating was all automatic, as a frequent traveller i found this place extremely well documented for a quick familiarisation. Even washing machine and video games and WIFI and cable tv. Super comfy bed and sofa and carefully decorated spaces! I will return
Thank you for your kind words
Great location, comfortable flat
This flat is conveniently located one tube stop from Kings Cross, with bus stops both directions right outside the door. In easy range of everything you might come to London for, plus excellent restaurants, pubs, some shopping and markets just steps away. We went to a local free comedy club across the street. Flat is spacious by local standards and has mini versions of all appliances you may need except a clothes dryer. Just a perfect spot for us! Thanks!
Thank you for your comments- i will be sure to include the Free comedy pub in our local area guide, for future guests. For drying clothes we provide racks and combined with central heating it comes as a eco way of drying laundry very fast. Cheers
Great Location and Great Stay
This is my second time staying at one of Paulo's flats and again it was great. Islington is a great location in a wonderful neighborhood with good transportation. Flat was clean, kitchen simple but works well and bed and sofa both comfortable with cozy duvets. Having wifi is important and that was also good and always consistent. Paulo is an excellent, helpful and responsive host and his staff likewise is also always helpful in answering questions. Highly recommend.
Thank you again for coming and for your kind words, we do our best to maintain the apartments and improve too, our team is also lovely and well motivated praised and appreciated as they are hard and smart working.
Angel and Highbury and Islington underground stations are on the same street as the apartment. St.Pancras station and its Eurostar terminal to Paris and Brussels is less than a 20-minute walk away. Many buses into the centre and other parts of London can be found literally on your doorstep, and the West End can be reached in 15 minutes.
There's over 15 supermarkets to choose from right here- including Planet Organic and GF and vegan options. Also cafes and restaurants, as well as convenience stores - such as one 24/7 right next door!
Famous for its nightlife, buzzing Angel offers an impressive choice of entertainment, from bars and restaurants, to renowned theatres such as the Almeida and Sadler’s Well Dance Theatre. Several live music venues are also close by, the Union Chapel, O2 Academy Islington and The Garage to mention some. And right on Upper Street: “Union Chapel is one of the most beautiful settings to enjoy live music in London and has a totally unique atmosphere” said Tim Arthur, editor-in-chief of Time Out London. The Grade-II listed church in Compton Street, Islington, beat competition from Brixton Academy and the Royal Albert Hall to take the top spot in Time Out magazine’s poll.
Other well-known attractions in the area include the Dickens Museum, the London Canal Museum, Camden Passage Antiques Market, Chapel Market, Columbia Road Flower Market, Brick Lane, Broadway Market, Spitalfields and Petticoat Lane. The Emirates football stadium is within walking distance, or a quick bus ride away.
The area is family friendly with attractions like the Geffrye Museum and its splendid Kids’ Zone and the V&A Museum of Childhood.
