Unbelievably Quiet

  • 5 of 5

This is by far the quietest place we've ever rented. We were concerned when we arrived to see a house on the hill above the farmhouse, but the owners and the horses were the quietest of neighbors.

The house was clean and comfortable with a lot of old farmhouse charm: bead board wainscots throughout, bead board and wooden walls and ceilings upstairs to name a few. Everything worked well, water was hot and towels were wonderful. We didn't cook so I can't vouch for anything but the microwave. Milford has wonderful restaurants and access is easy to the Delaware Water Gap amenities in both PA and NJ.

It was a delight to see and hear all of the birds. We ate breakfast on the porch and loved the bird activity in the apple tree in front of the house. At night, we were serenaded by the peepers. It was bucolic and very enjoyable.

I really hate to write a glowing review....

  • 5 of 5

...because then everyone will know what a great spot this is and they'll book it all up! But, really, it was great. Jamie was awesome, friendly and helpful. The house (true to its age) had character and a great history. The grounds were a great play place for a big dog with a ball to chase, and some quiet time next to the stream. We were there in early spring, but I would suspect it's a great locale during all seasons (especially fall and winter). Thanks for the great spot!

So cosy - had a wonderful time over Christmas!

  • 5 of 5

Jaime's farmhouse was the perfect place for our family of four adults to spend Christmas. We loved the location: peaceful and quiet, a pasture with horses next door, near the woods and trails for exploring, artsy Milford just a few miles away. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we could possibly have wanted. Despite the freezing cold and snow outside, it was very warm and and cosy inside and we loved to make use of the fireplace (plenty of logs are provided). There are several TVs but we never even turned them on. There is also a great sound system. We all found the farm was the perfect place to relax and recover from the pre-Christmas stress in the city. Thank you, Jaime!

Charming, cozy and spacious

  • 5 of 5

We were visiting family in Milford and stayed in this historic farmhouse. It is spacious, with three bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs, and a large living area, dining area and kitchen downstairs. There are many interesting antiques and old books to peruse, as well as modern entertainment with tvs, videos and games. The house was stocked with soaps, towels, spring water and plenty of blankets. It was a warm and cozy place to stay and we look forward to returning.

Lovely house in a great secluded scenic location.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the house and the property. My kids loved the koi pond and the porch swing. Would definitely stay again.

The perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our trip included 3 adults and 3 children and we all left with great memories. Jamie thought of everything and spoiled us with all of the amenities. Every bedroom had a TV, its own thermostat, and all on one floor. There was a warm fireplace inside and an open fire pit outside. We saw deer, horses, hummingbirds, chipmunks, the Koi fish in the pond, and caught some catfish. This was a home away from home without the stress or noise of everyday life. We will definitely come back again.
