Beautiful quiet weekend

  • 5 of 5

The place is absolutely beautiful. It is down towards the end of a dirt road. Surrounded by woods, it appears to be a new house. The house is well cared for, and has everything you could need. The owner was great to deal with and always responded very quickly.

We spent 3 days here and didn't see another human being the entire time. It was fantastic. We walked the woods and spend time by the fireplace.

Looking forward to returning in the future!

Very private and beautiful

  • 4 of 5

We enjoy staying here in the fall every year. It is very peaceful and private. The house is beautiful and we love the fireplace. The number one reason we chose this is because they welcomed our dogs. The owner was swift to respond and left great instructions. Also, it was very clean. Thank you ,

Cathy R.

Very comfortable and clean . The remotes need batteries and a clearer instructions to the water.

Over all it was great. My husband wanted to fish near the cottage which was a priority but could not find the road after several attempts. One of the renters actually was annoyed he walked on “ their rental property to fish”. He ended up fishing from the boat docking place.

peace and quiet but needs some owner attention and pride

  • 2 of 5

could be a very nice home; the rental is in a very quiet and peaceful location; clearly a rental income based on tag sale quality furniture; contacted owner due to concerns with cleanliness of bedding and lower level bathroom; cabin needs a thorough cleaning; kitchen very nice and well stocked for cooking and eating in; stove needs to be cleaned; WIFI was a problem throughout the stay; limited lighting for evening reading; many light bulbs blown out in ceiling fan/lights; no floor or table lamps; on overcast days, the cabin is dark; stools at the island were very shaky due to loose bolts as was the dining room table; owner was surprised by issues and relies on renters to let her know of problems; owner was very kind and gave a credit for cleaning the first night of arrival; other issues would have required us to stay at the house for service people to come and check problems; we were unable to enjoy the outdoors due to mosquitos; we left two days early and the owner was very willing to refund us for those nights

Owner's Response: In over four years of renting, we have never had a poor review about the quality of the cabin. I went above and beyond in refunding these customers for their complaints and their last- minute early check out. My hope is that the comments about "tag sale quality" furniture (untrue, the beds were custom made) and the mosquitos (something I cannot control) can give anyone reading this review insight. Regarding the wifi, there was a bad cable from the install, and a tech needed to change it. They did not want a tech to visit during their stay. It has since been fixed and the wifi works.

Perfect Maine retreat

  • 5 of 5

This cabin exceeded all expectations. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would easily stay here again. The living room is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Both downstairs bedrooms and the upstairs loft have very comfortable mattresses.

There was tons of snow during our stay so we really didn't get to enjoy the yard, but the cabin is very secluded. If you're looking for a peaceful experience, this is the place for you.

Wonderful place overall. 5 stars!
