Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us! My whole family enjoyed our stay at your place! Great amenities that included a hot tub, swing set for my 2 year old granddaughter, canoe, paddle boat & kayak for water fun. My son-in-law caught several catfish & carp close to your place. The only issue we had was with the lake bottom being mushy. Otherwise, we loved our time at your place & all the extras you had around the kitchen to make out trip much easier. your fire pit was so relaxing & peaceful in the evenings.
Thanks for a lovely & memorable summer vacation!
If you are looking to pay an extra fee after checking out then stay here. The property manager at first offered to call if any concerns especially to clean the nasty hot tub. When I called her because the water got green after the first day she had such an attitude and hesitated so much to come do her job. At the end we cleaned the best we could and followed all rental agreement instructions, and we still got a "clean up fee" which is her job as a property manager. Honestly if you are looking for a rental property, stay somewhere else even next door and you will have a better experience. The house was very poorly equipped and not impressive.
We enjoyed our time at the home and spent 95% of our time outside. The weather was perfect. Lots of fishing and fires and hot tub time. My husband caught many channel and flathead catfish. Not much to do in town, a few shops and bars, but pretty quiet. We did drive to a cheese factory one day. We wanted to rent a pontoon but no one locally rents so we used the paddle boat and kayak a few times. The home had everything we needed and then some- well stocked kitchen and linens.
The spot on the lake was private yet gave us complete access. Having the canoe, paddle boat, and kayak available got us all out on the water and having fun. Being able to come off the water and sit in the hot tub was not only heavenly but possible the reason my muscles still worked the next day. My kids and I loved it and can't wait to go back!
The house is small inside, but cozy. What a perfect location for a woman's get away. The bar outside by the hot tub was a great gathering place. The fire pit down by the water was so relaxing. Watching the beautiful sunset was breathtaking. We loved being able to walk to Karen's, only .03 miles away.
We enjoyed our stay very much over Christmas. The house had everything we needed and more, which made our travels from Florida easier. During our stay we were hit with a snow storm and Todd came out right away and cleared the snow. The hot tub was the best part, helped keep us Floridians warm. Thank you for sharing your home.
Lake-fest (July) watch the fireworks over the lake, Venitian night (August) with a lighted boat parade, Audubon Days (Oct), Toilet Bowl (New Years Day) enjoy a parade down mainstreet, Car races on the lake in January/February, Rock River Fest (June).
