The open and bright kitchen area features granite counters, brand new appliances, and a convenient sliding pass through window to the screened-in lanai. Other features include: imported tile throughout the entire home, freshly painted with neutral colors, a wet bar, two full-sized refrigerators, two living rooms (each furnished with brand new 50-inch LED TVs), new furniture throughout the home, a spacious outdoor living area, four brand new bikes, and beach gear. Both the living and family rooms have a wall of pocketing sliding glass doors that open up completely to the lanai. Relaxing

We had a very nice time at Gulf Escapes. The house was beautiful and big enough for our two families. The kids loved the pool (and so did we of course). Dan was very responsive and accommodating. Definitely would stay there again.

Well maintained, nicely appointed, great pool and a very functional kitchen.

We enjoyed four weeks in in January and February 2017 at this lovely house. Located at the north end of Marco in a quiet residential area, we found it to be an ideal spot. We were within a nice 20 minute walk to Tiger Tail lagoon (although the walk to the beach itself was another 15 minutes or so). Also within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shopping areas along Collier.

The house itself was perfect - four bedrooms, two baths, a separate dining/bar area and a large living room looking out to the pool. A highlight was the pool itself - heated and tended to weekly, we made use of it virtually every day. The kitchen had a great pantry with lots of spices and other non perishable goodies left from prior quests. Glad we checked it out before we went shopping.

We had a few minor problems in accessing the house on arrival, but Dan was readily available by phone and guided us through the process.

All in all a great month - so great that we are looking forward to returning next year.

Very nice property. Laid out very well for more than one family

We spent 10 days at this home with our son and his family and had a wonderful time. The home is very well maintained. In addition to lovely furnishings it is well equipped with everything you need, especially related to kitchen dishes, glassware and other items.

The pool is very nice.

The location allows for a nice walk to Tiger Tail beach and from there to the gulf shore if one wished to walk the additional distance.

Thanksgiving Getaway With Family

Since my family is now spread out in three states, we have decided to meet in a neutral site, this year in Marco Island. We rented this home because it had the room to fit three couples and one child comfortably. My son and his wife had to back out due to business needs. so it was just my wife and my daughter and her husband and my grandson. We had a fabulous week!

This was our second time in Marco Island, last time my wife and I stayed at the Marriott on the south side of the island. The north side, with Tigertail Beach, is much "wilder" in that the beach itself has that lagoon in front (with kayaks, and other non mobilized play toys) which was fun to discover, then the long walk around the lagoon to the actual gulf beach which is LOADED with shells of every kind. Hint: when parking in the lot, continue to the additional parking and drive all the way to the rest rooms at the end of the parking lot. This will save around 1/4 mile of walking each way, which is a big deal if hot and carrying beach chairs etc.

There are many nice restaurants nearby the house, Esplanade Center is just over the bridge and the Publix etc is just down the road as well, so the location is very convenient. The bikes make it convenient to ride either to the beach or restaurants, but we chose to drive most places.

I found the eagle sanctuary to be interesting (it is around 2 blocks from the house) where mommy eagle was sitting on some eggs most of the time. One day I saw daddy eagle flying above the pool as I floated on my back. Pretty awesome memory.

My favorite restaurant was Snook Inn, but if you drink alcohol be sure you get there between 4-6PM for half price happy hour. They are super friendly, and make a mean Mojito according to my wife. Not fancy, but it is on the water and the food was good.

The house was laid out perfectly for our family. We let my daughter and her husband have the master suite with the king size bed and bathroom. We took the queen and my grandson had a room to himself with the twins. The master bedroom is separated from the other bedrooms by a large living/family room with a nice large tv, a dining room and kitchen. The living room opens up to the lanai with the pool, and with nice weather it was open most of the time. Loved the fresh air and openness. We would serve my grandson breakfast and lunch through the kitchen window to the "bar" out in the lanai, and he loved it. Called it Nana and Papa's kitchen. Great time!

Today Marco Island has a population of approximately 15,000 to 35,000 people depending on the time of year. It is a hot spot for conventions held in its beautiful hotels lining shimmering beaches, and as with neighboring Naples, it is a popular winter destination for those wanting to come out of the cold.

Its location in the Ten Thousand Islands also makes it popular with boaters and those who love to fish, either seriously or recreationally. Kayaking among the mangrove covered islands is a very popular activity. So is bird-watching. Shore birds are everywhere. And you would have to travel the island blindfolded to avoid seeing a pelican.

You will find shopping throughout the island. A recent entry is the 50,000 square foot Esplanade Shoppes located along 1100 feet of Smokehouse Bay waterfront.

The beaches are also very beautiful here. The public beach is Tigertail open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset. Here you will find water sports rentals, chair and umbrella rentals and a concession-style restaurant. There are also two resident beaches.

You can launch a boat from Caxambas Park which also has a marina store on site with fuel, snacks, and docking. Keewaydin Island, a by-boat-only accessible island is just a few minutes away offering a near-oval of sandy beaches. Key Island, as it is sometimes referred to, is a popular place for boaters to park and party.
