A wonderful place to stay.

This has got to be the best place we have ever seen. The owners are really friendly and the are so gracious. This is our second time here ans we just love it. If you are coming to Vermilion or Cleveland this is the place. Close to Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay. You can't miss with this cottage.

Lovely little home. It had everything we needed and more.

  • 5 of 5

The home was very comfortable and the owner very friendly and accommodating. It's close to town and the beach. The town had several quaint shops and restaurants. We had a great visit. Hope to go back sometime.

Really looking forward to staying here! Unfortunate circumstances prevented us from keeping our reservation but Mr. Pryor was so understanding and accommodating - over and above! We will be booking our next getaway here for sure!

We have come to the cottage 3 years in a row. We just came back from a week vacation there. We like this quaint cottage. We really like the outdoor fireplace. Sitting by the fire is so nice after a great day at the beach. The cottage is located very close to their private Bluebird beach. This cottage is a gem.

Exceeded Expectations - Loved It

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for 6 nights, checking in on July 4th. We were in town for a baseball tournament at the new Cedar Point complex just east of the Point along with 5 day passes to fill time between games.

This was our first (ever) VRBO, AirBnb, etc. time renting to stay somewhere.

After this trip...I'm not certain I will ever stay in a hotel again. This property is phenomenal and Dan exceeded all our expectations.

The property oozes character. From the kitchen cupboard doors, the inside stone fireplace, roomy yard, a sleeping patio like great grandma used to have, heck the vent between the kitchen and main room. So many things to discover and appreciate. The cottage smells slightly old but not musty.

Sleeping arrangements, no complaints. The bed in the main room was exceptionally comfortable. Our kids enjoyed having the sleeping patio all to themselves and were able to spread out.

Outdoor much else has been said, but this is what really makes the property. I mean you come home from a long day in the sun, start a fire, grab a cold one from the fridge, and let the cool breeze wind you down. I told my wife that I was ripping out the pergola at our house and building one of these.

Remodeled bathroom...also a key addition. Very spacious with a jet tub and stand up shower. Lots of room here to move about. Amenities like wifi, games, books, cable, fireplace, cornhole, bikes, grill, kitchen items, etc. We didn't spend a ton of time using everything but it was all there. We walked down to Lake Erie (maybe a block?) to watch people light fireworks on the 4th. Not much of a beach to speak of, so if you are expecting water access and bringing your kayaks, I'm not certain I would put in at Bluebird Beach. Was so clear you could see the lights on the coasters across the lake.

Dan is a fabulous host and was very interested in how we were doing. We had a slight issue when we arrived but he was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly.

The only real thing I can think of to carp about would be the size of the place. With my wife and 3 kids, it felt cramped after we unloaded our van and settled in. There isn't really a pantry to speak of so most of our food we bought/brought was piled on the kitchen table. I would be hard pressed to stay here as long as we did with 7 people so just something to keep in mind. Maybe just the wife and I next time.

We had an awesome time and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Thanks Dan!

Enchanting historic cottage

  • 5 of 5

We really had a wonderful stay here. While having kept the historic in the home, the owner has many updates inside. We loved the patio fireplace outside. The neighborhood was quiet. Just what we needed. Thank you again Dan.
