Some of the lights were not working, and the shower runs out of hot water if you take the shower for too long. Otherwise this is a great place to stay; great location, safe, clean and spacious.
Location served as an excellent launch point to most of the personal and professional engagements I had for a 9-day visit. Space was very suitable for my needs, and comfortable.
Had a very comfortable stay in this apartment near Chinatown in DC. Apartment was clean, had everything we needed, including a small fitness center in the first floor of the building and a business center with computers, and printers. This was very handy since I was there for business. THe host was very responsive, we needed extra towels because there were two of us but it was only stocked for one and the host got them to us in less than 20 minutes after we emailed him. Not sure a hotel would even respond that fast. Didn't use the pool as it was too cold when we were there, but it is a nice amenity to have when the weather cooperates.Would recommend and would rent again.
This was a great place! We loved the place! The apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. We visited the observation deck upstairs and was treated to a very nice view of DC. The pool was also very nice. The location was safe and convenient, close to the Metro and bus stop. Also, it was walking distance to lots of restaurants.
This is an average apartment in a complex that is predominantly occupied by students. The details:
1. By far the most aggravating issue was the constant, droning, monotonous, low pitched noise that reverberated throughout the apartment. The noise originated from the mechanical room on the second level of the parking garage and was a constant annoyance throughout our stay.
2. The refrigerator constantly dripped water into the main compartment soaking anything that was placed on the shelves.
3. The decor was grubby, tired and in need of updating.
4. The bed was of low quality and very uncomfortable. Every morning we awoke to a sore back.
5. There was no corkscrew in this 'luxury' flat. The owner was advised on the first day but never responded to this comment.
6. Friday night and Saturday night is party night in this student complex so there was party noise until around 3am both mornings.
Overall an average apartment that we paid luxury prices for. We won't be staying here again. Very surprised that it is classed 'luxury'.
The trip went great and everything met our expectations, the "stars" don't accommodate 1/2 points, so our overall rating would be a 3.5....not quite a 4, and it is hard to find "perfect".....except the host (very responsive to requests and questions)......so keep that in mind as you read our comments. Setting up the reservation went smooth, arrival was exactly as described and the building is very nicely appointed, in a great neighborhood and very convenient to the local attractions and DC Metro services. The apartment itself was exactly as described, but did not include all of the minor amenities indicated, nothing major missing, but if it says something should be there, it should be there....simple items like bottled water, storage bowls, travel sized toiletries, and alarm clock didn't exist....but, all of the major items...washer/dryer, wireless internet, etc were there. If you are regular travelers, right or wrong, you know the place is never as "new" as the pictures would lead you to believe and the furniture may not be exactly as shown, however, the apartment was clean, and everything you need to make the stay pleasant and cook a few meals was available, so we would not hesitate to recommend this complex to anyone interested in visiting the area.
