Rumah Kayu is a beautiful wooden house with a fantastic view of rice fields and mount Agung and is available to rent now.
Located in Peliatan, Ubud, surrounded by rice fields and yet only a 20 minute walk through the rice fields or 5 minutes by car or motorbike to Ubud main road, this house will give you the perfect combination of peace and quiet, great views and easy accessibility.
Consisting of two double bedrooms with separate living areas on both floors, the house comfortably sleeps 4. The bathroom includes a bathtub and hot water shower and there is a separate toilet and kitchen with gas stove, toaster oven, blender and fridge freezer.
The large private garden is planted with fragrant frangipani trees, bamboo and other tropical plants. The open air kitchen and gazebo make it a great place for entertaining.
If you don't want to go into Ubud for dinner there is a beautiful Indonesian restaurant set in the rice fields just down from the house with very reasonable prices. There are a number of other good restaurants within walking distance and many restaurants in Ubud will also deliver food free of charge - we have several menus for your use in the house.
We include a mobile phone with local sim at the house so you can call us if you need anything or want to order food from Ubud.
For families with young children we have a travel cot available for your use free of charge and will provide toys and books on request.
Why stay in a hotel when you can have your very own home in Bali for cheaper?!
I'm originally from the UK and my husband is Balinese so we can offer you local insights with no communication difficulties! My husband Made is a tour guide and driver and will be happy to take you anywhere you want to go. We also offer motorbike rental, cooking classes and breakfast on request.
Wifi internet is available for a small additional charge - please ask for details.
Overall very nice and calming just be aware that if you are looking for privacy and relaxation the continual visits from gardeners and staff making 'offerings' to the temple in the garden can be a little frustrating to deal with.Rachel is very helpful and the few problems that we experienced were dealt with quickly, the nice touch of a mobile phone available to contact her and in emergencies was welcome.
Loved it. Nothing too fancy but very good value for the price we paid. Nice setting with rice fields around and a decent restaurant just around the corner.
