Great location for family gathering
Classic beach house with beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the sandy beach. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and grilling a full meal on the two spacious grills. House was well stocked with plenty of space for family games and conversations.

Great Family Vacation
We just completed a family vacation at this beautiful house. We had a total of 15 people including 2 teenagers and 3 toddlers. The house is kid friendly and was stocked with everything we needed for the week. There were plenty of beach toys, corn hole, bikes etc to keep everyone entertained. The beach is right across the street from the house. After dark on several evenings we sat in the sand by the water and watched shooting stars. What a sight! We also took day trips to Michigan's Adventure and to Holland to rent jet skis. The weather was perfect, and the house was ideal for our family to relax and enjoy each other. This is the third year we have rented this house and we have already reserved a spot in 2016. Thanks for a great week Sam. We can't wait to return!

Great Vacation Home!
We rented this house because of its sleeping capacity and location near Lake Michigan. We had family from Virginia, Idaho, Colorado and Michigan together. Amazingly, this house can accommodate several families regarding the number of bedrooms but there is also enough space on the main level for everyone to be together but not on top of each other. Even with babies we managed to sleep well every night. Lake Michigan is a short walk across the street and Muskegon Lake is not far away. This property was exactly what we were looking for with its views of Lake MIchigan, the proximity to Lake Michigan where we swam, played in the water and kayaked. The house is well stocked, better than any we have been in and the owner was available at a moment's notice to take care of any issues. The house is close to anything you would want to do in Muskegon but why leave. There are several playgrounds nearby for the kids, the channel from Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan is nearby for fishing, Dockers restaurant is nearby for a nice meal or happy hour, beach is great for morning or evening walks. Since we were so close to Lake Michigan the cool breezes were refreshing! I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to vacation on the beach!

My name is Sam. I am an elementary school teacher here in Muskegon and I stay in the house during the school year. This gives me a lot of time to upgrade various aspects of the house to make it more enjoyable in the summer. I grew up in Grand Rapids about 45 minutes east of Muskegon. I'll probably be in Grand Rapids while guests are in the house so if there are any problems or concerns I can be at the house within an hour. My goal is that everyone that stays here has a fantastic experience.

Why they chose this property

I had been commuting from Grand Rapids to Muskegon for two years working in the Muskegon Public School district. I was very fortunate to find that one of my best friends owned this property and that he would consider selling it to me knowing that he could still stay here anytime he and his family wanted. This is a perfect fit for me being that I can stay here all year and then when summer comes along, I can travel and visit family. It's a match made in heaven.

What makes this property unique

This house is large enough for two big families and right on Pere Marquette Beach. My family has stayed here, all 18 of us a few days. Majestic sunsets every night from the decks from either floor or enjoy them from the living room through the large windows in the front of the house. It's the ideal location.
