Relax after a day of adventure in our newly updated 900 sq.ft. lakefront family friendly cottage. Conveniently located just steps from a beach, 50 minutes to the ocean and outlet shopping, and 20 minutes to Augusta, Maine's state capital. Designed to keep the classic 'Maine cottage' feel but with the convenience of modern amenities. The entire cottage has been updated; including new living room furniture, kids' play area in loft ( board games, toys, books, DVD player, movies, Xbox), kitchen layout/utensils, bedroom linens, and private kayaks for your use. Bed/bath linens and Internet are included. Enjoy barbecuing on the grill, kicking back and reading on the screened in porch, and/or waking to a fresh cup of coffee from our complimentary breakfast welcome basket. The cottage/condominium complex ( our cottage is one of 9) has a recreation field with volleyball, badminton, and horseshoe pits. There are also several hammocks on the grounds and fire pits on the beach. Perfect spot to explore the outdoor opportunities the beautiful Androscoggin lake area has to offer - fish for bass, kayak to Black Sand island, hike the trails, and after fall asleep to the call of loons. We would love to be part of your next adventure...
“Jessica and Rick's cabin gave us the iconic Maine vacation: breathtaking paddles across a pristine glassy lake, fishing for the boys, beautiful forest walks, catching fireflies and roasting marshmallows on a fire at night. All this only a few meters from our cabin, which was delivered clean, well stocked and as described. Even a friendly visit from Rick to make sure our needs were taken care of made for an epic vacation that we and our children that will never forget.”
I don't know where to begin - this camp was perfect! Absolutely everything that a parent, cook, dog-owner, kid, lake-lover, relaxer, etc would want or need was here. From the super equipped kitchen, to the FOUR kayaks, plush linens (including beach towels and even towels for dogs!), super comfy beds, games, immaculate grill, lots of fans, paper products, smores fixings, and keurig cups, we really only had to come with our clothes - in my many years of renting, that has never happened for us. Having a washer and dryer two doors down was super convenient (just plan ahead with some quarters) too. Local grocery store had everything needed and farm stands were all over the place. The management team at the property kept it immaculate - beach was cleaned at least 3 times when we were there (geese like to frequent). The ONLY downside for us with avid tween swimmers is that the lake is very shallow for quite a ways out in front of the property so we had to kayak away from the property to get swim time. For the little kids that were there, though, the beach and shallow water seemed ideal for safety and entertainment. Jess was extremely responsive and helpful from start to finish, including giving me tips to get a package delivered to the camp.
This is our third year going to Jess and Rick's cabin. It is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. The lake and the atmosphere of Angell Cove are exactly what one needs to get out of the grind of work and life. Enjoy the tranquility, loons, swimming, stars and sounds of nature lakeside, porchside or boatside... LOVE IT.
The property was beautiful! Everything we needed and more. Gorgeous view of the lake. Thank you so much for the pleasant stay. Can't wait to come back!
We were looking forward to spending some quiet, quality family time together this summer and found the Angell Cove Cabins. We could not have been more pleased. The cabin was newly renovated and spotless, it had everything we needed and then some. The cabin is right on the lake which provided for hours of fishing and kayaking for the whole family. The cabin had all of the supplies you would need to enjoy the lake: Kayaks, fishing gear, life preservers, beach toys etc. The lake was beautiful and we were thrilled to see the Bald Eagles , Loons and plenty of fish to be caught. This was really the perfect get-away. You know it was a success when your 14 and 11 year old boys do not even think about ipods and tablets while away! Thanks Jessica!
We had a wonderful stay in Pheasant this summer! The property was very clean and very well-maintained and the customer service was superlative (we had a small issue with the hot water heater which was fixed VERY quickly). The lake is beautiful ... great for paddling, birdwatching (bald eagles, loons!) and swimming. Angell Cottages provide badminton, volleyball, a few bikes, and horseshoes if you want to do something off the beach. Both Augusta and Lewiston-Auburn were great day trips. Our cottage had wonderful amenities ... kayaks, water shoes, water toys, great movie selection, Wi-Fi, comfie beds, nice linens/towels, good kitchen, great fans, area info binder, even S'more forks! The welcome basket was so appreciated! For a fun 50's diner experience, try Fast Eddie's nearby. Thanks for a great stay! :)
Perfect lake cottage. Clean, comfortable, pet friendly.... You will be back year after year!
This has been my "Go To" vacation spot for several years. The location is ideal if you want a relaxing, quiet, beautiful, pristine, and tranquil setting for your Maine trip. Its location is ideal for day trips for shopping in Freeport, sightseeing, and trips to the coast. You can go boating, fishing, and swimming right from your front door.
The cottage is clean, well stocked, safe, and beautifully decorated. It is equipped with a grill, well stocked kitchen with utensils and pots and pans ready for every need from burgers to lobsters!
They also provide recreational equipment for fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and just chilling out on the lawn, in the houseboat, on the dock, or in a hammock under the trees.
Our hosts thought of everything. A children's corner in the loft provided hours of fun for the kids including a flat screen TV for DVDs, games, books, and toys providing fun activities at night, on rainy days and while waiting for the dinner bell to ring.
We appreciated the notebook full of local recreational information on the region.
Don't be surprised if you see the same vacationers each year....
