Well-Appointed Condo Close to Acadia
Len and Pam were very flexible with our check-in process which was greatly appreciated given that we still had some of our trip details up in the air. They were so friendly and reached out prior to check-in to ensure we had directions and were there to help show us around.
The condo itself had all the comforts of home and some! Attention to detail is something I always appreciate - the great linens, ergonomics and layout were carefully thought out. We didn't get to use the kayaks or head out onto the pond, but it look gorgeous...I could imagine it being breathtaking in the autumn.
Location was great too...about 55 minutes from Bar Harbor and 45 minutes to the "Quiet Side" of Acadia NP. Good restaurants in Ellsworth are only a 15-20 minute drive away...be sure to check out the LL Bean Outlet. You could spend a whole day in that store!
The only complaint I have were the slanted ceilings which affected me somewhat because of my height (I'm 6'4"); however, my wife (5'8") was not affected by the ceilings at all. It's only an issue when using the stove and something to pay attention to when walking around. Just something to be aware of if you're extremely tall and won't have someone of average height to cook your meals.
Tiny house in the woods
Great stay, totally as advertised. Very comfortable tiny house for two.
We spent 3 nights in June, 2019
The property was clean, the owner responsive, the area scenic. The only thing that was not really clear was how short the ceiling height was. I hit my head several times due to the pitch of the roof and I am 5'10".
The owners thought of everything and were very easy to contact when needed. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.
Well appointed condo at a great price.
Very nice, clean rental unit. It had everything we needed. The location was great for day trips to Acadia, Bucksport and Deer Isle. Nice and quiet. We would recommend this condo. Thank you!!
Cozy and perfect
Location was beautiful and we felt like we were secluded but yet close enough to the activities we were in Maine for. Would definitely stay again!
Must see is the new Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory in Bucksport associated with the historical Fort Knox State Park. For those interested in hiking, there is nearby Great Pond Mountain Wildlife Area Area. The area is also very close to Bar Harbor and Acadia national park. The nearby Big ChickenBarn is a mecca for antiques. Bucksport and Ellsworth , both nearby, have many fine restaurants. Maine is known for its seafood and there are many outdoor areas where lobsters are boiled in wood fired pots.
