Awesome Property
Pictures don't do it justice. This is a great house, beautiful views of the cove and easy to get around to other things to see and do in Maine. Can't say enough good things about the property, the owner (Carla is fantastic), and the house. We had 10 family members with us (Age range from 78 to 10) and all loved it. Outdoor Fire Pit was easy to use, 5/6 kayaks made for some fun outdoor recreation, and the floor plan was perfect for us. I was a bit skeptical about not having A/C (we are all from New Orleans) but the cool breezes off of the water made the house temperature and humidity perfect. Loved it and would book it again!

Wonderful Week!!!!
Carla's home was absolutely wonderful. We were there celebrating my Mom's 90th birthday and all of us enjoyed everything about it, especially the big table near the kitchen with the wonderful view, the fire pit and the sunroom.

Maine Paradise
This is an unparalleled luxury home set above a private cove amidst a beautiful pine forest. It fit the needs of our multi-generational family very well. We especially appreciated how well equipped it was for paddle sports.

What a magical week!
Our family (4 children under 5, 6 thirty-somethings, and 2 grandparents) just got home from our incredible week at Carla's house. We cannot thank her enough for her hospitality and sharing her beautiful house with us. The love she has for her place, the community, and her state is evident. The location of the house is remote that you feel like you have the whole beautiful cove to yourself, yet you are minutes away from all you could need), including many places to eat-in or take out from, with some of the best lobster rolls we have ever had. We spent a day on a sailboat, went blueberry picking, enjoyed the sweet towns in the area, and flew kites on the beach. The setting of the house is just perfect. There is a short stroll down to the waterfront or a beautiful, well-maintained trail right from the front yard that both someone with bad knees and a third-trimester pregnant lady could do. The gardens were just beautiful We enjoyed a beautiful outdoor fire-pit complete with s'mores as well as a softball game with the kiddos in the front yard. There were mosquitos (nothing some bug spray couldn't take care of), but we never saw a single tick. Even though the environs and setting were perfect, staying inside Carla's beautiful house was a treat too! You have an incredible view of the water from the kitchen for wonderful family breakfasts and dinners. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and labeled and big enough for all of us to create magical meals together. Our favorite spot, though, was next to the kitchen in the sunroom. Plenty of comfy places to sit (including an indoor porch swing) and read or just curl up for a cup of tea. There are other amazing living room areas too that each have their own character, filled with beautiful art and antiques. There is even a huge basement, so I heard, but I just realized that we had so much fun on the first two floors, I never even went downstairs! The bedrooms are each unique and comfortable with huge windows that gave our family lots of options (although 3 of the rooms had no blinds). There was an adorable kids' room complete with a small playroom that was just perfect. Although there is no air-conditioning, we were very comfortable as the house was also incredibly airy with plenty of fans. We were so sad to have to leave such a magical spot that is perfect for a group of friends or family coming together to enjoy each others' company and all of the beauty the area has to offer! Thank you, Carla!

Large private beautiful home
This house is exactly as described. It is a large home on a very private lot with lots of ammenitites. I will go over all the pros and cons of this home. Pros- large home with tons of space. This was perfect for my large family. The house was extremely well appointed. We are a family that enjoys cooking. Everything we needed was there. Great range, large fridge and freezer. Service ware for at least 12. Loved the fireplaces and pit. Being from Fl the weather was chilly for us, so it was pleasant for us to have some additional warmth. There were games and puzzles for the kids and adults. We really enjoyed doing a couple puzzles while overlooking the water. Home had amazing landscape. It was nice looking at everyday. We were 15-40 minutes from everything we needed to do. The homes location was perfect for us. Prior to arriving Carla sent information about the house and surrounding areas with map ( nice touch) she also had a cute welcome basket. My wife and mother loved this (it was very cute) and had the best scavenger hunt. This was perfect for the one rainy day we had. So much fun for the whole family. Carla, she was easy to communicate with and is a nice person. Cons- There were ticks everywhere (except the front yard) we didn’t get any hitchhikers there. However, walking the path to the dock, backyard, and fire pit, someone in our party had a hitchhiker. This of course was not the fault of Carla, it’s just a part of nature and Maine in June. Non the less, it limited the time we could spend outside. Ian, didn’t answer his phone. I tried him on two separate occasions. Carla, on the other hand, did, but I felt guilty having to call her. Couldn’t get the Apple TV to connect. Not a big deal to the adults, but we downloaded some new movies for the kids to watch at night that I couldn’t air stream. All and all, this house couldn’t of suited our needs more. A beautiful property, great owner and perfect for big and small families. If we visit the area again, we would not hesitate to rent this stunning home.

HI there- Here I am in front of my Maine home with one of my huge Dahlias- I have over many varieties that grow beside the house in the summer. My whole family are Mainers and my mom and dad met at the Brunswick naval air station long ago. My grandfather owned the town grain store in Bath and my great grandfather had a farm once attacked by Indians. Spruce Cove is a magical place and home to me and my grown boys
(occasionally) and many friends from around the world all summer. We come in the winter too for cosy retreats and snow shoeing and contemplation.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because my husband fell in love with it the minute he saw it and was so very happy here. It has a magical quality about it because of the tides coming and going , the wildlife and the tranquility. Every summer is filled with wonderful memorable times from the fairy twinkles of fireflies in the woods in June to the fall colors brilliantly shining off the cove in October.

What makes this property unique

You drive fifteen minutes from Bowdin College and Brunswick
(only 30 from LL Bean) and find yourself in the most quiet serene setting of nature imaginable Bald eagles soar overhead, baby foxes cavort on the walls around the garden and the tides ebb and flow teaming with birdlife and an occasional deer, stripers caught right in the Cove off of my kayak.
