Charming atmosphere in the PERFECT location!

If you are looking for a place downtown without the high price tag of some of the hotels or other VRBOs, look no further, as this place is perfect! I only have wonderful things to say about Paula and her properties. She was very accommodating and helpful prior to our stay, and was great at communicating despite the fact that she was busy traveling elsewhere. The place was ADORABLE - and just what we needed for a stay in Charleston. The noise level in the morning is no different from what you would hear at any other condo or hotel downtown in the morning - trash and delivery trucks, etc.- In fact, we actually found it to be a little quieter than other hotels we have stayed at. There is a bar across the street, but even that wasn't very noisy or rambunctious (it's actually pretty great, and you should go there.) The back patio was so nice to sit out on in the early morning hours of fall. There isn't any parking provided, but we didn't have trouble finding spots nearby - just make sure you're aware of which spots become valet for certain restaurants in the evening (look on the parking meter!). We kept our car parked during our entire stay and walked everywhere since the property is so centrally located. We felt like locals all weekend going in and out of our place above the shops - it was so fun! We will definitely be staying here again!

Amazing Location!

  • 5 of 5

The location is perfect if you want to take in all that downtown Charleston has to offer! There is a bit of noise from Broad St in the morning, but that really didn't bother us. The apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. Paula was very accommodating and easy to rent from.

Cute apartment really close to The Battery.

This apartment was within 10 minutes from all the places we visited while on vacation to Charleston. The bed was actually comfortable too! I only wish they had a closer parking garage. We would definitely stay here again. Very clean.

Location, Location, Location

  • 4 of 5

If you want to be within walking distance of almost everything Charleston has to offer, this VRBO is for you! If you are wanting a relaxing getaway, I would look further. There is a bit of noise from Broad which didn't bother us much because we have a noise machine but the bedroom desperately needs some different type of blinds. The morning sun will have you up by 5:30-6 every morning. If that isn't an issue for you - you shouldn't have an issue with this rental. Getting away from a hectic work schedule, I like to relax on vacation so this was somewhat of a let down for us. *I'm not writing this review to negative - I just wish I had known this before booking so just want others to be informed.

Charming Charming Charming

  • 5 of 5

We are native South Carolinians and have spent time in Charleston over the years, but never have we rented an apartment downtown. We felt like locals. On arrival we found street parking to unload and then parked the car in a garage for the weekend. We walked in and had dinner at the bar a few doors down at Oak - delicious!! We spent Saturday morning walking the Ravenel Bridge after coffee and pastries from Normandy Bakery. If you love a sunset hit the Vendue roof top bar - just a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Perfect birthday getaway! Thanks, Paula!
