Photos and Description of this Sevierville holiday cabin

Seasonal access to Douglas Lake, swimming pool, hot tub, beds for 8 guests

The cabin sits on a ridge overlooking one of the fingers of Douglas Lake. The view is mostly obstructed by dense woods, which provide seclusion and privacy for the cabin. A short drive or walk down the ridge will bring you to the swimming pool and community boat ramp. The cabin is the first of three cabins on a dead-end street, which is peaceful and quiet.

The cabin can sleep up to eight people. It has two private bedrooms with adjoining full bathrooms. Four beds are built into the wall of the upstairs loft. Kids especially love the loft beds. The loft also has a ping pong table and foosball table.

A secluded hot tub and gas grill are located on the balcony. The cabin is equipped with WiFi and high-speed internet. A Roku device on the TV provides access to many channels including Netflix. The owners have also provided a substantial DVD library of family movies. All bedding, towels, and kitchen utensils and appliances are provided. About Greg Linton

Gregory and Jeffrey Linton are the cabin owners. We are brothers who grew up in New Richmond, Indiana. Jeff lives in Lafayette, Indiana. He is a truck driver for Frito-Lay. Greg lives in Knoxville and manages the cabin. Greg is a professor at Johnson University. We named the cabin to honor our parents, Russell and Virginia Linton. Rose is our mother's middle name. Russell was actually our father's middle name, but he was called by that name. Our father never finished high school, but he worked his way up to managing and owning a grain elevator, which he sold so that he could retire at the age of 58. Our parents were married 65 years and passed away a few years ago, leaving their children a gift that enabled us to purchase this cabin for the enjoyment of our families and the families of our guests. Our favorite memories of our parents were the vacations that we took with them, and we hope that our cabin can provide similar fond memories for other families. Jeff has two grown sons and a grandson. Greg and his wife Kim have two fifth-grade boys and two dogs.

Just a great, versatile space!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin so much. It has everything you would want (hot tub, full kitchen, grill) at a great price. It was great that it sleeps 8, and we loved the beds up in the loft - they were so cute and would work for kids or adults. We had 8 adults and never felt cramped, but it was nice to not have 4 or 5 bedrooms separating us. Greg and Jeff have equipped their rental with the latest technology and were a pleasure to work with. Thank you for a great trip!

We absolutely loved the Russel/Rose cabin, my family and I really appreciate you sharing your cabin.

Your cabin was just beautiful and had everything my family needed for our visit. We brought stuff just in case we needed it but never had to get it out. My wife commented so many times that this cabin was stocked the best of any we have ever used. It was very clean and we tried our best to leave it as clean as we found it. We spoke with Doyle before we left to let him know we appreciated everything there. The hot tub was also a big hit with my family. Everyone had a great stay, my son in law loves it so good he said he could move to the mountains easily. As we done our daily walks we discovered the covered bridge down below in the back path and went back and had family photos made there for fall. Thanks again and I'm sure we'll be using you again very soon. Thanks Again

Owner's Response: We appreciate your kind comments. My brother and I hope that our cabin will provide a trouble-free, relaxing getaway for couples and families. Our fondest memories of childhood are the vacations we had with our parents, and we hope that our cabin will create those memories for others. We are pleased to hear that your family enjoyed it. And we appreciate your acknowledgement of the loving care that our cleaner Doyle provides for the cabin. We think he is the best!

Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

My 12 year old son wanted to make sure that I left a 5 star review because he loved the loft beds. I was very pleased with this choice of cabin and hope to be able to reserve the same one for next year.

A great cabin for families

  • 4 of 5

Although it was just my husband and me that stayed in this cabin we could see that it would be a great value for families. The upstairs loft would be a fun place for children... with games and built-in beds (even with lights for little readers).

The king size bed was especially comfortable, including nice sheets. We also loved the rocking chairs on the back porch.

The owner, Greg, was also very responsive and quick to help.

Enjoyed our stay

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and well kept. The kids love the upstairs beds and games. If we go back to Tennessee we will definitely stay at this cabin again and will recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful, Quiet, PERFECT Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Talk about an amazing vacation! We visited the cabin with our two young kids, my parents and my husband and me. The cabin is so spacious and clean! It comes fully stocked with just about everything you need. There is a swing on the deck that you can sit in and enjoy the fresh air. I sat on the swing, swinging my baby to sleep many times.

The community pool was great. Everyone is so friendly. The location is gorgeous. After staying, we want our own cabin now! We cannot wait to visit again.
