Our quiet two story chalet, on two secluded acres, is centrally located to numerous Pocono attractions and is available for all four seasons of the year. Relax at our chalet on the huge deck, or upper balcony, overlooking Pine Run Creek. Take a walk on the private paths through the rhododendrons to your own picnic area or on a meandering trail on the property crossing three bridges over two streams leading into a untouched forest, where wildlife is often seen. Roast marshmallows at our fire pit, or grill some of your favorite foods on our gas grill.
Our Chalet will accommodate up to 6 people. One upstairs bedroom has one queen bed and one twin bed while the other has one full size bed with a half bath. A long hallway closet runs between both bedrooms. The lower level bedroom has a full size bed with closet. The downstairs offers a full bathroom and an open concept kitchen, dining area and family room that lead out to a large deck overlooking the stream. A 42' Flat Screen TV, DVD/Blue Ray Player and WIFI make this the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the secluded beautiful surroundings.
Visit Beltzville Lake State Park, only one mile down the road with its sand beach, wooded picnic areas, boat launch and miles of marked hiking trails. Enjoy fishing, hunting, water skiing, and cross country snow skiing. If you have a boat, bring it along, we have plenty of parking at our home.
Nearby attractions also include Penn's Peak, Historic Jim Thorpe, Lehigh Gorge, Pocono International Raceway, Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Pocono Whitewater Rafting, Skirmish, Pocono Biking and many more.

We have grown up & lived in this area all are lives. We enjoy the area's natural beauty, wildlife, scenic views, events and freindly people.
Glenn and Crystal purchased this chalet in 2012
This property was in our family for over 30 years and gives you a sense of tranquility by being surrounded by trees, wildlife, natural streams and all the things that Mother Nature can offer for this area.
The open concept of the home and double sliding glass doors in the living room make you feel like you are outdoors your entire stay. The view and the sound of the stream running through the property is especially soothing to the soul.
Great overall experience. House is as advertised but better! Clean, with everything may want. Close to all outdoor activities and Jim Thorpe. I recommend the place highly and hope to return for a different season experience.
The Owl Creek Hideaway is ideally located surrounded by trees, near a creek, with an awesome bonfire pit, and also close to a lake beach area for swimming. We really enjoyed the yard games available and use of the outdoor grill as well as dining on the patio. The owner Glenn is quick to respond to all inquiries. We definitely want to visit again!
The property is located in what, at first glance, is a neighborhood half way between rural and suburban. Nice lawn (with lawn games to keep you occupied), well kept yard and driveway. Out back, you find yourself in secluded woods. There are trails, a babbling stream, a fire pit for s'mores -- really heavenly. The location is great. There's a lake, state parks, and the cute town of Jim Thorpe all within 20 minutes or so. We did the 15 mile rail trail out of Jim Thorpe along the river and it was beautiful (and doable for a somewhat out of shape 63 year old.) The kitchen is well-equipped, so you can cook in or on the grill on the deck. Glenn is a great host. He was selling tomatoes (from his yard next door) in front of his house, and told us to just take a bag. The house is clean and well laid out so each bedroom has privacy. There were just two of us staying, but it would have been fine for 3 couples.
What a wonderful place. Place was clean, had all the necessities and much more! Will definitely be coming back as soon as we can!
What a beautifully kept, well maintained hideaway! Owl Creek Retreat was our home away from home for our recent trip to the Jim Thorpe area. Conveniently located with easy access to local attractions, but we almost didn't want to leave this great property. The owners, Glenn and Crystal have thought of every detail! From the picnic table and firepit, to the outdoor games (badminton, washers, horseshoes, etc), indoor games, nicely appointed kitchen, etc. The grounds are beautiful with well maintained paths through the woods, crossing multiple streams.
Gorgeous property convenient to Jim Thorpe. The house was spotless and well stocked with anything we could possibly need. The grounds were so neat my four year old didn't want to leave. Manicured paths to creek and many bridges made for a great nature walk. Lots of great yard games available. Owner was easy to deal with and available when needed. Would definitely stay again.
Nearby attractions also include Penn's Peak which is a short drive offering big name entertainment and specatacular views of the region. Also nearby is the Historic town of Jim Thorpe, Lehigh Gorge, Pocono White Water Rafting, Paintball, Shooting Range, 3-D Archery, Wine Trails, Horseback Riding, Pocono International Raceway, Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Camelback, Big Boulder and Jack Frost just to name a few.
