Beautiful house for a gathering of family and friends!

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful and comfortable for our group. Big kitchen and dining room made for convenient cooking and meals where everyone could sit at the table. The great room was an awesome place to relax and play games. Even in the winter we enjoyed the yard and spent tons of time outside. Lots of sleeping options and comfortable beds. Fantastic house! Would highly recommend for

group getaways during anytime of year. Check in and check out were extremely easy and convenient.

multi-family ski house!!

  • 5 of 5

Another great weekend had by all! 5 families, lots of kids, plenty of space (plus the best mudroom you have ever seen!!). Less than 10 minutes to Jiminy Peak, 30 minutes to Cranwell Resort and many shops and my favorite gourmet grocery store, Guido's Market. This wasn't our first weekend at this house and it won't be our last.

The owners have been so gracious to share this magnificent property with so mnay respectful people. It is a dream property, views of Jiminy Peak, the lcoation, the 2 acres, the mudroom, fireplace and the fact that it sleeps 22! Maintenance free, such a joy to be apart of! Thank you so very much!

I love the spaciousness and character of the house! Absolutely beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

There was a total of 15 of us (4 families) with 7 adults and 8 children. We rented this house for the MLK weekend to go skiing at Jiminy Peak. A main draw for us was the amount of rooms there are, especially the kids’ bunk bed room, and the 3rd floor rooms. So the kids had the upstairs while the adults had the comfort of the downstairs bedrooms. Plenty of space for everyone! We loved that the original wood of the barn is incorporated into the renovated home creating such character! Being that we’re all from FL, I was nervous that the home wouldn’t be warm enough for us as we were there when temps reached single digits, but we were all comfy. It was the kids’ first time skiing and the location is perfect for a ski weekend at Jiminy Peak. It was about a 5-10 minute drive. My only criticism was that I wish there was more lighting or brighter lighting. It was quite dim at night. I get it’s part of the ambiance but I would’ve like the option of having the place brighter when we needed. Other than that, we all had a wonderful weekend and wish we could’ve stayed longer and enjoyed the house more!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review. The house is one of a kind, views of Jiminy Peak Ski Area and great kid space. I will speak to the owner about lighting and we'll see if we can correct that. Please be a repeat guest! The house is owned by a New York family, 4 children, all skiers. This house is their ski house that they have been so graciously sharing with others! Thanks for the trip from Florida!!

Family gathering in wonderful setting

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 9 adults and 6 children fit very nicely into this spacious home. It is definitely bigger than it appears on the website. We loved the living room with the big fireplace, along with the ample bedrooms. The kids were all able to bunk together, which was fun for them. There were plenty of bathrooms and the kitchen was wonderfully modern, well-stocked, and user-friendly. The dining room table fit us all nicely. It was nice that the TV was not in the main living room, so that those who wanted to watch could depart to the viewing loft area, and the rest could enjoy conversation/games/etc. in front of the fire. The location is very rural, but that's what we were looking for. We enjoyed a terrific family hiking outing to nearby Mt. Greylock, and played football in the large lawn/field out front and back. It was easy to get into Pittsfield for provisions or a quick bite. The only negatives were pretty minor (the overhanging loft stairwell in the dining area created a few close calls, and one of us stubbed his toe on the hearth of the wood stove next to the dining room table; but we were able to put objects in both places to remind people to walk clear; also would be good to have some boardgames available). Overall we were very pleased with the house and location, and would definitely consider renting it again.

Great Large Family House

  • 5 of 5

We recently rented this house for a long weekend with two other families. Our total group size was 6 adults and 11 children ranging from 10 months to 10 years old. This house was perfect for us and extremely kid friendly. Great open areas to relax inside, large yard to play in and the kid bunk room was the highlight of the weekend. Very good location close to Jiminy Peak, Ioka Valley Farm and other attractions. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay in the area.
