Family gathering in wonderful setting

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 9 adults and 6 children fit very nicely into this spacious home. It is definitely bigger than it appears on the website. We loved the living room with the big fireplace, along with the ample bedrooms. The kids were all able to bunk together, which was fun for them. There were plenty of bathrooms and the kitchen was wonderfully modern, well-stocked, and user-friendly. The dining room table fit us all nicely. It was nice that the TV was not in the main living room, so that those who wanted to watch could depart to the viewing loft area, and the rest could enjoy conversation/games/etc. in front of the fire. The location is very rural, but that's what we were looking for. We enjoyed a terrific family hiking outing to nearby Mt. Greylock, and played football in the large lawn/field out front and back. It was easy to get into Pittsfield for provisions or a quick bite. The only negatives were pretty minor (the overhanging loft stairwell in the dining area created a few close calls, and one of us stubbed his toe on the hearth of the wood stove next to the dining room table; but we were able to put objects in both places to remind people to walk clear; also would be good to have some boardgames available). Overall we were very pleased with the house and location, and would definitely consider renting it again.

Great Large Family House

  • 5 of 5

We recently rented this house for a long weekend with two other families. Our total group size was 6 adults and 11 children ranging from 10 months to 10 years old. This house was perfect for us and extremely kid friendly. Great open areas to relax inside, large yard to play in and the kid bunk room was the highlight of the weekend. Very good location close to Jiminy Peak, Ioka Valley Farm and other attractions. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay in the area.

Great House for Large NYE Group

  • 5 of 5

For the past 5 or so years, a large group of friends gets together for New Years. It was unanimous that this house was our favorite rental, and could be our go-to house moving forward. Very large and spacious. Plenty of common area space for both one (very) large group or to break off into smaller groups. Enough beds for 20 people (assuming you have some couples/share beds).

Kim was very responsive and the entire rental process was hassle-free. House was clean and stocked with the essentials.

Our group didn't ski but you can see the mountain from the kitchen. Couldn't recommend this house more.

Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for our yearly family reunion.

There were 15 of us in the home.

This was our first experience with a home away rental and we loved it.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed.

The accommodations were great and it was a lot of fun being able

to cook together and spend time in this large comfortable home.

The owner and realtor were very accessible when we had a question. It was an all around great rental.

Owner's Response: Thank you, both Steve and I enjoyed having you and your family. He enjoys very much sharing his families ski home with guests. We love return clients, and we have many. So come again, enjoy, stay longer, tell all your friends or keep it a secret! Thank you for your kind words.

Ski Trip with Large Group

  • 5 of 5

This was our group's 3rd year renting this home. We can't say enough great things about the place - it's spacious, clean, close to Jiminy Peak, and accommodates our large group of around 20 people each year. We will continue renting this home every year as long as it's available!

Thanksgiving/Wedding Anniversary Celebration

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here to celebrate Thanksgiving and my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The rambling house was perfect and spacious for all 16 of us. The huge family room was perfect for our celebration and the big kitchen/dining room area was great for dinner and breakfast. I would recommend this house to anyone for a family reunion. It would also be a great house to rent for families looking for a ski week or weekend.

I also want to add that dealing with Kim was a pleasure. I have rented through HomeAway and VRBO a few times and I can honestly say that Kim provided the most attention than any of the others. She was proactive in reaching out to me a few days before our stay and then again on the day of our arrival. Dealing with someone who is so attentive makes the whole experience much less stressful.
