Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Angelo's property. The apartment is at a walk able distance from Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi fountain and other attractions.

Angelo was very helpful and always available online and in person. The property is a 17th century building with all modern amenities and well maintained.

One small observation: Google maps was not able to accurately locate the apartment, so we had to contact Angelo, and he guided us to the apartment.

Totally recommended!

Intriguing historical location!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Angelo for such a nice stay! We were very pleased with the apartment and our choice in renting your place. The apartment description was accurate and was nice and clean upon arrival. The unit is very interesting and historical and made us feel like locals. The bedroom was large and dark, which was welcomed after long days in the hot sun. The whole apartment itself was cool, and the AC unit fully functional. We also felt safe and secure. The location was fantastic - right around the corner from Campo de' Fiori and walking distance to all major sites. Amazing bakery/deli next door. Angel was very responsive to all my messages. He was very helpful in explaining the unit and neighborhood. He also provided towels, soap, and helpful maps making our experience smooth and stress free. We would recommend if you are looking for an interesting, historical stay, something more local than a hotel!

Ah ... Roma !!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Rome in late May, early June 2016 and stayed at Angelos during that time. We arrived early, and Rosa, Angelo’s mother, allowed us to store our bags in her apartment until ours was ready a few hours later.

The location is fabulous – a stone’s throw from Campo di Fiore and two stone’s throw from Piazza Navona. There’s a great bread/pizza/pastry shop right next door, a cheese/wine shop diagonally across the street and a coffee place two doors down, so all of our snacking / coffee needs were met without having to walk more than 50 feet!

The apartment was fine for us. It was clean, and again, you can’t beat the location! The living room is small with an antique bench for sitting and a table. We only used the fridge, because why cook when you’re only in Rome for a short time? But the kitchen was properly appointed if you want to cook a meal.

The bedroom is quite large, with a comfy king sized bed and plenty of blankets. There is lots of storage, with a large armoire and a bureau. There were plenty of hangars, but I’d recommend bringing a few extra.

The bathroom is small, but very functional. The lighting is good, the shower works fine (a good amount of hot water) and there’s storage for toiletries in a medicine cabinet and shelf above the sink.

The apartment itself is dark (great for sleeping after a long day). The air conditioning worked well. There wasn’t a problem with noise, as the bedroom is set far back from the street.

One interesting note is that there is a hallway connecting Rosa’s apartment with this rental unit. There is a locked door to Rosa’s apartment, but no corresponding door to the rental unit.

Angelo met us the evening before we left. He was very gracious, and offered to hire us a cab to the airport and wanted to be sure we were enjoying our stay.

We’d definitely stay at this apartment when we visit Rome again!

Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Angelo was wonderful. He arranged someone to meet us on our arrival and always responded to any questions quickly. The property is BEAUTIFUL and centrally located within walking distance to many of the cultural sites as well as fantastic places to eat and shop. We LOVED our stay here. Would absolutely recommend to our friends and family and would return to this property without hesitation on our next visit to Rome.

Can't Miss Location and Comfort!!

  • 5 of 5

The city of Rome was one of the best times we've ever had on a vacation and the apartment we rented near piazza Navona was a big reason why! This apt is located within walking distance of all major attractions (too many to name!) . . . close, close, close!! And if you decide you do not want to walk, then it's just as easy to catch a bus at the stop out front, or catch a cab and then go anywhere you'd like quick. But why do that . . . bring your best shoes and walk! No shortage of markets, restaurants, shops, & fun nearby. Booking the room was super easy and Angelo helped make our stay absolutely amazing; first by arranging cheap priced transport to the apartment from the airport, to checking-into the apartment (which was available early!) to making sure our needs were being met by contacting us on a regular basis. The apt itself was as clean as clean could be, open, bright, roomy, and comfortable! We didn't use the cooking corner, but it seemed very capable. Oh, and let's not forget the bed . . . it is very very confortable! The room is located on the first floor, there are just few steps. If you are thinking of going to Rome, DO NOT miss this place . . . YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG!! Isn't it everyone's wish to be in a place that has so much to offer?? Well this swanky apt wins on every level!! Thank you Angelo; you helped make a trip of a lifetime become a memory of a lifetime!!! Ciao!!!

The centre of the city of Rome is a picturesque area of cobbled lanes, lively squares, fashionable bars and renaissance palazzos as well as the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori, the Spanish Steps and an infinite series of monuments, museums and churches containing many of greatest masterpieces of Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and Bernini. The city centre is also the centre of Italian political life, and indeed the bars and restaurants surrounding Montecitorio and the Senate are often frequented by well known local and national politicians.

In ancient times, the area around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon was known as Campo Marzio, and was used as an outlying arena for sports and military exercises. However it was the 17th century Baroque masters - Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini – that gave the area its current appearance. Indeed, their churches, fountains and palazzos still inspire the same awe and wonder as they did when they were first built 350 years ago.

The area is well furnished with small restaurants offering typical Roman cuisine and bars in which to stop for a while after visiting one of the city’s monuments. The most famous bars in the area are Caffé Sant’Eustachio and Gelateria Giolitti, both of which are located close to our apartment.
