Amazing home, great location

  • 5 of 5

We have rented the house with group of friends in the beginning of December 2015. This is one amazing house, located in a quiet place with 2 min walk to the clean sandy beach. House is surrounded by trees which gives a lot of privacy , and the nearest neighbor is about 300 meters. But if you would begin missing people around you , 5 min walk on the beach will bring you to bar and restaurant at a resort. Before going to the restaurant elsewhere, ask Chef Arturo to cook for you... Steaks have been amazing..

House is well maintained and clean, all appliances are working ( air conditioner in each room is a life saver if people in your party have different comfort temperature range :))and in case of any questions owner Natasha is one phone call away.

We have enjoyed our relaxing stay at Casa Sol Brisa!

beautiful house, amazing dinner, fantastic time

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time here! The house was very clean and spacious. It was more than we expected. We felt comfortable, well supported and the owner and manager took care of all our needs.

We ordered a live dinner and the food was amazing! Chef Arturo prepared us an Asian fusion dinner right in front of us, using specific cooking techniques and recipes that I will surely try when I get back home. I recommend trying his dinners. Also, Aturo took care about our food intolerances and he performed magic meals.

Another highlight was the stunning traditional Thai massage from Natasha, which I can highly recommend as well. She is a very sensitive person with big healing powers.

We made the most of the pool and beach since it was so close. We were really pleased with how quiet it was after coming from the city! It was truly a perfect getaway. We will be going back again, as soon as possible!

Where do you live?

Great Time

  • 4 of 5

We recently stayed four nights in Casa Natasha. Everything was fantastic. The location of the house is perfect, just a few steps to the beach, but also far enough from the crowd. We didn't get to the house until very late sunday night. There was a set of bed sheet and towel missing for one of us. We managed to get the sheets ourselves through the linen closet door. But we didn't get the towel until three days later. We later found out the property manager, Michael, had some personal family issues (otherwise he had been very attentive prior to that).

The house was in great condition and had everything we needed. You can get all your groceries in Pedasi; including wine. We cooked two dinners at home and breakfast everyday. My one complaint here is that they forgot to clean the coffee pot and it had all kinds of mold in it.

Michael offered to arrange activities for us, but at the end we managed to do things on our own. Surfing lessons can be arranged at any time with the local surf hostel/shop. Michael offered us a hike to a waterfall for about $35 per person, but we found our own waterfall in Eco Venao for free. Our trip to Isla Iguana got canceled due to weather, but there is scuba diving and snorkeling there if you want. We also made a day trip to Pedasi on Fat Tuesday to celebrate the carnavales. It was only 30 minutes away. And of course we spent most of the time on the surf (glad we found a boogie board from Michael on the last day after he finally stopped by) and relaxing by the private pool.

Just a few words of caution...there were three wasp nests around the house and scorpions.

I highly recommend this house.

Great Vacation House & Wonderful People

  • 5 of 5

The listing was completely accurate with the location, description and all it's amenities. The photos do not do it justice. Miquel, the property manager was absolutley accommodating. He made sure we were comfortable and took care of everything we needed, including booking of tours that were offered. Irvina, the owner is also wonderful and accommodating. During our stay she was in contact via email to make sure our stay was running smoothly. You should definitely book a message with Natasha. The messages were relaxing and serene. The home is far enough from the bars and Playa Venao's nightlife, but a 5 min walk if you do wish to go. Some mornings you will be awaken with the sound of rustling trees, only to horses feeding in the back yard. At night, you'll find Charlie(frog) just staring through the back windows enjoying the poolside.

I would highly recommend this vacation home for your visit to Playa Venao,

Serene and comfortable location

  • 4 of 5

We recently spent two weeks at 'Casa Natasha'. We loved the quiet rural location surrounded by nature and surf. The house was situated a short walk from the beach along the road (not pictured) and there has been more construction in this subdivision so you cannot see the beach from the house anymore but you can hear the waves. The house itself was as advertised, clean, well maintained and had comfy beds, lots of towels and kitchen gadgets. The pool was very inviting as was the ocean. The property manager, Michael, came almost every day to make sure things were in order and was very prompt in taking care of any issues. The free Wi-Fi kept us connected to the outside world, although it was nice to have the excuse of frequent power outages not to be connected! The beaches were very walkable, especially for my husband with his bad hip. There were a few restaurants in the resorts or hostals along the beach to stop for a bite or a brew and the prices were very reasonable. Breakfast at El Sitio while watching the surfers was our favorite thing to do as well as enjoying a glass or two of wine on the beach while watching the sunset. More establishments seem to be opening every week as Playa Venao is in the midst of major expansion. Groceries and produce were readily available and relatively inexpensive in Pedasi and Limon although you are better off to get meat in Chitre. 7 km from the house (watch for the turnoff to Casa Estrella) was the place to buy the catch of the day from local fishermen on the beach about 10:30 in the morning. As it was very windy, there weren't as many opportunities to get fresh fish during our stay as we would have liked but the fresh red snapper for $1.00 a piece more than made up for the shortage! In terms of driving, it took 3 hours to get to Chitre from Panama City and another 1.5 to get to Playa Venao. The roads were excellent except for the last 20K where there were potholes. The road crews were busy filling these potholes while we were there so they are likely gone by now. We took several drives including one to Tonosi that were very pretty. We also took the mountain road from Tonosi to Las Tablas that was spectacular and well worth the trip. A 40 minute trip to Hotel Villa Romana for lunch was also well worth the trip, as was breakfast at Casita Margarita and lunches at Bienvenudish in Pedasi. Overall a great time. Many thanks

Owner's Response: Great review! Thank you, Julia! I would like to clarify a couple of things though. The road to the beach is the village street, not the main road. One can technically go to the beach through the grass between the house and the beach, but most of the guests prefer the small walk by the street, which is walkable in any weather, rain or sun. There is one house being built in the subdivision. It's nearly done, no more construction or construction related noise. It blocked part of the view of the ocean from our pool, but you can still see it and, as Julia mentioned, hear it, because it’s really close. Thank you again and have a great day!

Fabulus experience,

  • 5 of 5

This house definitely lets you enjoy a fabulus experience in this region. My wife and i visited in may.

A very private environment with no noises to disturb, surrounded by nature, allows you to achieve the best relaxation at any moment that you wish.

The house is clean, and rooms with clean sheets, private bathrooms, with fresh towels.

The House kitchen is friendly and cooking becomes part of the experience if you choose to .

Loved the fact that we could enjoy the private pool (very clean and clear for an outdoor facility in the area), to end the day, after a romantic, adventurous and fun day in the beautiful venao beach, that is just a few meters away from the house.

We will return for sure.

What to do if one member of the family loves active sport and the other prefers something more relaxing, like yoga or lying on the beach? Then I guess you need to find a place that offers you both options: and that place is Playa Venao.

Playa Venao on the Azuero Peninsula in Panama is one of the best up and coming destinations. Most of all it is famous for its sandy surf beach, which is not only great for kids, but was also where the Billabong USA World Surfing Games of 2011 was held. The beach is surrounded by lush hills, which are great for hiking and horseback riding. Deep sea fishing is also available close by in an area called the Tuna Coast, and they call it that for a reason!

But if you are not into active sport then perhaps you would be interested in taking a yoga class or watching birds or sea turtles. The scenery is beautiful beyond words and if you are into photo tourism you will find plenty of places to take pictures from.

And who knows? Maybe you will like it so much, that will decide to stay longer! With a shopping mall being built in Pedasi, a 30 minute drive from Venao, and the new international school opening soon, more and more families are choosing to stay in Venao permanently.

We will be happy if you will decide to visit us!
