About Elisabeth Johnson
My wife and I reside in Chicago. I am an architect and own my own company in Chicago, specializing in retail interiors. My wife manages numerous rental properties. When we need to free ourselves from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the city, we escape to our cabin.
Elisabeth Johnson purchased this Cabin in 2006
Why Elisabeth Johnson chose Saugatuck
We had visited Saugatuck and Douglas in the past. When we happened upon this cabin, we knew right away this was just the place for us.

Wonderful place to vacation!
Wonder place to vacation. Very close to the pool. It’s is also very close to a lot of shopping and a wonderful ice cream place. Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay! We would love to come back!
Family Trip to Saugatuck
We rented this unit with 4 adults, and 5 kiddos ages 1-5 (under 2 yrs don't count towards total headcount). It was a great experience staying close to downtown with access to a pool. The property was adorable and Elisabeth helped field a few questions while we were there very promptly. I wish the fire pit for the community was more centralized and away from the woods, but we made up for it with daily trips for ice cream instead of s'mores. Great access to bike paths along Blue Star highway.
Great place to stay in Saugatuck
We've stayed here previously and the charcoal grill was a great addition.
Beautiful home and great pool
We did have to purchase our own paper products, no paper towel and minimal toilet paper. Also bought our own propane tank so we could grill. Lots of poison ivy was very sacary as I am highly allergic,
This is our second stay at this cabin. Love the location, close to the pool and walkway to the lake. Owner is great to work with. Could use more washcloths and bowls, and new blankets. We also didn’t have any propane for the grill because apparently the tank was stolen off the back porch. This threw a wrench in our food plans but it wasn’t the owner’s fault. We also found underwear next to the hot tub on the back porch, which made us a little uneasy that someone had apparently helped themselves to the hot tub while we slept. Back porch needs a lock on the door. Overall very nice though and we had a great time.
Wish we stayed longer!
Stayed here with a group of girlfriends for a relaxing weekend.
It was everything we wanted and super comfy.
