Why Lisa & Andrea chose Lake Cumberland

Spend quality time with your family and friends and surround yourself with the beauty and sounds of nature while enjoying the comforts of this one-of-a-kind authentic log cabin. Hang out at the cabin and swing on the front porch and listen to the breeze blow through the trees, the birds sing, the wood peckers at a distance, watch the gecko climb on the logs, a deer in the woods, or take a walk and enjoy nature. When you work up that appetite, throw some hotdogs on the grill and kick back on the deck under the shade tree, and promise the kids’ smores over the fire pit at night. Head down to the boat slip or the Marina and enjoy beautiful Lake Cumberland that includes fishing, swimming, sun bathing, boating, and water skiing. The ultimate get-a-way from it all!

Great Family Getaway!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Toebbe Timbers cabin. The rustic cabin secluded on a cliff overlooking Lake Cumberland was just what our family needed. The marina was just minutes down the road and hike/bike trails nearby as well, but if you just wanted to relax with family this cabin has everything you need. From the fire pit where we spent most of our time, to the horse shoe pit and corn hole set, and if you wanted to spend some time inside you had the pool table, game table and plenty of TV's. The expanded deck had so much outside seating, and the kitchen/BBQ grill had everything to cook meals for the entire family. There was so much room in the 2 1/2 story cabin that it fit the our whole family (with beds to spare), but if you wanted some seclusion it wasn't hard to find. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone. Even though the marina wasn't open yet for the season, since there were still no leaves on the trees the views of the lake made up for it.

A Cabin of Your Own

  • 5 of 5

The overall ambiance of the location and cabin make you want to have a get away place of your very own. The cabin was homey, with plenty of room for our large extended families. There was plenty of kitchen cookwear/ dishes. The cabin was clean and up to date. The owners gave us plenty of information with directions and all the amenities that were available. The only thing that may have made it better would be a hot tub!! Out whole family loved it!

Make your own farytale

  • 5 of 5

A cabin in the woods. Sounds common doesn't it, and yet, this cabin is far from common. Upon your arrival you can't help but feel as though your shutting your doors to the rest of the world. This is exactly what we were going for. Unlike in the movies the cabin failed to dissapoint. It was nestled atop a hill, deep in the woods, in front of a lake, in a place perfectley designed for a fairy tale experience. The cabin is warm and inviting. Every room has it's own special way of inviting you in. Although we knew we were on vacation, we also felt as though this place was home. We felt so welcomed that the feeling of being at something like a resort was far from our minds. My family came together as one. We needed so much to break tradition n have an early thanksgiving and bring back a part of ourselves that we've lost during this past electoral year. So we did, and Toebbe Timbers did not dissapoint. At Toebbe Timbers we found peace, unity and happiness all over again. I recommend this place to everyone seeking to add some fairytale experience to a sometimes overwhelming life. The reservation was simple, the owners are wonderful people, and the type of farytale you wind up having is entirely up to you.

My family loved this home. We felt obligated to take care of this special gem in the woods. Minutes from a beautiful marina and secluded - this was the perfect weekend getaway. Lisa was a host as she is helpful, kind, and welcoming. I'd recommend this destination to anyone.
