Location, location, location!

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't ask for a better location to feel like we were in the heart of historical events! Met neighbors as we walked around - everyone was friendly and told us something interesting. We were a small group of 3 generations so we appreciated that there were three beds and room to hang out together or separately. Rod, who was easy to get in touch with and quick to reply, met us at the door to welcome us and answer any questions. Unit was well stocked and we also took advantage of the laundry equipment so we left with suitcases of clean clothes. The only negative was that we couldn't stay longer!

History and comfort!

  • 5 of 5

We had a really lovely stay at this beautiful old home recently. Every detail was considered and we really appreciated the cool, comfortable bed after a long, hot day of sightseeing. The location was perfect, close or convenient to all Gettysburg areas, and the parking was easy and right on site. Communication with Rod and Jen prior to our stay made it even more welcoming. Highly recommended!

Excellent location!! Off street parking!

  • 5 of 5

The only less than great thing was that the second bedroom only had ceiling fan. A/C in living room and smaller bedroom. Sort of hot in July. But other that that, it was a great place. Would love to visit again!

Great location for exploring civil war history in Gettysburg

  • 5 of 5

I stayed with my brother at this apt. recently and would highly recommend the apt. which is conveniently located near different civil war museums and battlefields. The apt. was clean, had a great washer/dryer, all cooking utensils for making meals, along with the linens and towels. Rod was great and made the stay even more enjoyable with his knowledge of Gettysburg along with easy accessibility to contact him. This was my first trip to Gettysburg but it certainly won't be my last. Having stayed with my daughter's family and grandsons in Shepherdstown, WV and visiting Antietam prior to coming to Gettysburg was helpful to get a better perspective on the Civil War. After an emotional day visiting the Civil War Battlefield and Cemetery, it was nice to have some relaxing time in the evening. Great restaurants in the area. We ate at the Dobbin House Tavern which is unique with the location of a secret "underground railroad" hideout. I especially enjoyed the salmon and basket of yummy breads. Definitely will plan a return trip in the future to Gettysburg and this location!
