We are located in the heart of the town in the midst of of the historic district.
We have been spending vacation time in Gettysburg every year for the last 21 years and this was a new rental for us. We were very pleased with the entire experience...Rod was very nice to deal with and the apartment great. It was very clean and the furnishings and amenities were perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable and never a problem with hot shower water. It is right on Baltimore Street so everything you need is within walking distance. The road noise never bothered us as it was minimal in late evening. Nice backyard with private deck and easy in and out with a garage in back. We even watched the parade from inside. Perfect up close viewing! I would definitely recommend a stay here! Thanks Rod! Mark and Carol N.
I loved this house. It was an original building during the Battle of Gettysburg, which made it even more special. The home was simply decorated with everything my family and I needed. Parking was behind the house in the alley which made it nice. Very quiet in the home even though there was bustling activity outside. Overall, it was wonderful and will hope to stay there in future visits!!
My family and I recently stayed here for a long weekend. We could not have been more happy with our choice! The property is in a great location - short walking distance in either direction to shops, restaurants, and museums; quick drive to the battlefield and Visitor Center. Every thing was clean and well maintained. The apartment is comfortable and roomy enough for a family of 5. And our kids thought it was cool to sleep in a Civil War House. Prior to arriving Rod called with all the necessary details. He also met us upon our arrival and gave us some helpful information as far as location of grocery store, brochures for local attractions, etc. This is definitely a place we would book again for our next trip to Gettysburg!
Great location, super clean and the owner is very accommodating.
Traveled there with my daughter, who is a brittle diabetic and has celiac disease, and son-in-law, who is visually impaired. Having complete kitchen facility was a must and was excellently furnished for us. We had plenty of room with the two bedrooms and good-sized livingroom for shared space. Would highly recommend staying here when you visit the Gettysburg Area.
My family and I stayed here for a few days during our trip to Gettysburg. We stayed in the upstairs apartment of the house. The photos listed on the web site were accurate. The property is right on the main street in downtown Gettysburg so there is a lot of noise, but around 10 or 11 o'clock it really calms down and seems that most people are out walking instead of driving. The upstairs apartment was very clean and comfortable. My family and I thought the beds and pillows were very comfortable and everyone slept well while we were there. We did get to meet the owners and they were very nice and friendly. Overall, this is a great property as it is within walking distance to MANY things. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
If you are interested in any ghost tours I highly recommend Ghostly Images of Gettysburg. We did the orphanage tour at night and it was awesome. Our tour guide was very informative and shared a ton of history with the group, not only about the orphanage but also about Gettysburg in general. I also recommend checking out the candy store (Sweeeet) that is just up the street. We got the BEST fudge there, and there is also a TON of unique and unusual soda. For an ice-cream, Mr. G's was recommended to us by the owners of the property. The ice-cream was delicious and there was neat little games outside of the shop.
Historical tours (walking, bus, car). Ghost tours.
