Our guest reviews:
"Villa Damee gives a great balance of authentic Bali village life combined with the hustle and bustle of Ubud with all its colour, restaurants, shopping and the cheeky monkeys!
After a busy day shopping, sightseeing etc retreating back to the villa to enjoy a swim then home cooked meal by Nyoman and then a massage on the top floor of the house under the stars. There is so much to recommend, the lovely Wayan who greets you and organises anything you need day to day, Nyoman looks after the night shift who cooks for you and more importantly organises the massages!!! Ketut, the lovely driver is excellent and always seemed to pop up out of nowhere just when we needed him. All the staff were amazing and we can't wait to go back again."

We just got back from Bali, staying our last week at Villa Damee. The villa is more beautiful than the pictures suggest, and the staff are without doubt the shining star. They are always there when you need them, keep the villa meticulously clean, yet completely unobtrusive.
Wayan (Manager) could not have been more kind, helpful and accommodating, she took us the local village healer and translated the entire reading/offering ceremony for each of us, took us to the village school and then back to her house to show us how the locals live. Wayan is a great point of contact and we are so happy to have met her. Nyoman looked after us each night, he makes a mean cocktail (served poolside, with a big smile) and his Balinese cooking was the best (so good in fact, we pretty much decided to stay in most nights after our first mouthful). Made/Wayan (man) looked after us in the mornings, serving breakfast/coffee, cleaning the bedrooms/bathrooms, helping to organise drivers and anything else we required.
Kadek does an amazing job on the lush gardens and he took us on the river walk, which was hard work for us, lazy city dwellers (but totally worth every sweaty heart pounding second).
The villa bedrooms/bathrooms are large, with massive wardrobes and clean linen.
The pool is a great size, perfect start and finish (and everything in between) to the day, getting out was the only chore.
Upstairs, on the yoga platform, the hammocks are a great addition and it became our favourite chill out zone, the shade, the breeze, and the view. We spent hours there, reading, napping, chatting...... wish I was back there now!
Stephanie's correspondence was quick, thorough and helpful from start to finish, the villa was easy to book, and Stephanie stayed in contact in the lead up to our stay, organising pick up from our prior villa in Seminyak.
Overall, Villa Damee is more rural than we were expecting, but with all the comforts you could want away from the hustle and bustle of the cities we quickly adjusted, it is only a short 10-20 minute drive from the centre of Ubud, the staff are amazing and it is the perfect place to relax, unwind with nature and beauty all around.

A unique way to experience the Balinese way of country living. Authentic ambience lets you enjoy the solitude of the open-air villa. It is very peaceful and the staff are very friendly. You are a short drive away from Ubud. The only suggestion for the villa would be to get English television stations for those "rainy days" and an extra TV in the other quest room. We had some good laughs about the outdoor bathroom, as it was an experience. It is the perfect place for rest and relaxation.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Managers Response: Thanks for your suggestion about the extra TV. We (the four owners) made a careful decision to keep the atmosphere in the villa as calm and peaceful as possible and for this reason decided to have one TV only, however we listen to all guest comments and we are open to all suggestions, so thank you for this feedback.

This place is awesome! The location is perfect, a little bit outside of Ubud in the middle of rice paddies. Booking was easy and all agreements were met, including a timely pickup in the north of Bali.
The villa design is beautiful with plenty of spots for you to relax. I especially enjoyed the hammocks on top of the main building. The outdoor bathrooms are gorgeous, I loved the shower!
Prices for drinks, food and services are very reasonable. For massages they use the services of locals, the massage was so good and the price was so low compared to hotels or day spas that I couldn't resist giving a good tip!
The staff are very friendly and will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They have their own area, so you still have all the privacy you need. The cook is awesome; I enjoyed his Nasi Campur a lot!
The only downside I can think of were some spots and stains on the curtains and some of the outdoor furniture. I personally would change the light fabrics to a more darker tone.
Managers Response: Thanks for your suggestions. Excellent ideas. Spots do occur (very fast) living in the tropics and we value your feedback. We are making changes and fixing these. Thanks for the valuable feedback.

had a wonderful time. The setting was lovely and the location good. However , the best thing about the Villa was the wonderful staff who were helpful, gracious and really helped us to make the most of our stay..
Our party of 8 had a wonderful stay at Villa Damee. We enjoyed the immersion with the local Balinese culture and village life. The hosts were delightful. The rooms were perfect and the villa was spacious for our group of 8. Overall, a great vacation.
This villa was amazing! Traveled through Bali with 4 teacher friends and by far this was the best place we stayed. The staff was kind and welcoming! We felt like we were at home, they even helped us set up a visit to the local school where we had a chance to teach a music class, we were even invited to the local temple to observe their full moon celebration but unfortunately we ran out of time . Our driver (Ketut) was wonderful he helped us organize and arrange day trips to temples, markets, white water rafting, and volcano hiking, everything was amazing to see and very affordable. The host Stephanie suggested an amazing outdoor restaurant called pomegranate where my friends and I had an amazing dinner and enjoyed a great atmosphere. I recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to the Ubud area. The villa is a little ways out of Ubud but it is totally worth it for the atmosphere that it creates.
