About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bath w/ four fireplaces

Tucked away on a historic street, Casa de la Boda (the Wedding House) offers the perfect east-side location for your Santa Fe adventure. Located just two blocks from Canyon Road and short stroll to the Santa Fe Plaza this lovingly remodeled two-bedroom adobe home blends the charm of it’s historic roots with the modern conveniences of a comfortable lifestyle. (If you need a 3 Bedroom check out our sister property #4570429)

A rambling flagstone patio with kiva fireplace and hot tub greet you as you enter the property. Inside, each bedroom offers an en-suite bath and private fireplace and W Hotel-brand pillow top mattresses (1 King, 1 Queen) ensure a good night’s sleep. French doors from both the living and dining areas open to the patio to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. The home is bathed in light from skylights and the bedrooms and living areas are kept comfortable by a central evaporative cooling unit. Radiant heated floors greet bare feet each morning in the winter. Just outside it’s courtyard walls are two, private parking spaces.

Named for the generations of the Garcia family (Garcia Street) that built a home on this lane each time a family member married, Casa de la Boda continues a rich tradition of life and love for everything Santa Fe has to offer. Permit No. 16-00135481

About Rick Tackett

As former residents of Denver we loved coming to Santa Fe on a regular basis. Now that we're locals we wanted to create a place that's perfect for a small family or two couples to come and soak up the local arts and culture.

Now, when the property isn't being enjoyed by guests, we'll spend a couple days there and walk to all the things that attracted us to Santa Fe in the first place.

Why Rick Tackett chose Historic Eastside

We purchased the property before it even went on the market. It just took one look at the courtyard area and the quallity of the home (remodeled by a Denver architect about 10 years ago) to see the potential as the perfect getaway.

What makes this cottage unique

Hot tub and large private courtyard w/ kiva fireplace

Guestbook comments from the owner

I'm happy to post a positive review.

We looked everywhere for that frisbee - not sure how we missed it!

Thankfully, we have many replacements so feel free to wash and recycle for

the next guest or one of the local rescues.

Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful casita and bring our dogs.

That made our always wonderful trip to Santa Fe even more special. We couldn't ask for better customer service.

Have a wonderful spring and hope to see you again soon!

Amazing home!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was everything perfect. Rick was a pleasure to work with and his home is extremely clean, comfortable and wonderfully decorated. The master bedroom was very large with a super comfy and cozy bed. The guest room was perfect for our teenage daughter. The location couldn’t have been better. We were within a 10 minute walk to everything. The kitchen is also very equipped with modern appliances and everything you need to stay in and cook. We highly recommend this casita for anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Santa Fe.

Sweet and charming Santa Fe home

  • 5 of 5

We loved the little house with the charming courtyard and fireplaces for our week-long stay in Santa Fe. Once we found our way through Santa Fe's maze of streets, we realized we could easily walk to town, Canyon road, and the nearby coffee shop and bookstore. Quiet and well equipped. When we had a problem, entirely of our own making, the owner was immediately responsive and helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat! Two bedrooms and two baths made it perfect for 2 friends traveling together, and it would work for couples too. Good space to spread out.

Absolutely beautiful, PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

Rick's house was absolutely perfect for our getaway. The pics simply did not do it justice. The sky lights in every room added so much to the beauty. The backyard was much bigger than the pics made it seem too. Plenty of space inside and outside. The outdoor fireplace was stocked with wood and the hot tub was ready for soaking. The house was also very close to the town square, but private enough that we always felt away from the tourism. We were also able to bring our two dogs, and they absolutely loved the place! Would definitely stay here again when visiting Santa Fe!

If you want the true Santa Fe experience, this is your place...

  • 5 of 5

My husband, parents and I stayed at this little gem for a week during Balloon Fiesta and had a blast! We truly felt that this home provided a true Santa Fe experience...it was beautifully decorated, nicely appointed, conveniently located and was just so comfortable. The beautiful days allowed us to enjoy the private courtyard over lunch and a glass of wine. We walked into town several times and to the art galleries on Canyon Road one day as well. If you are looking for a place to stay in Santa Fe for 2-4 people, this is the place for you!

House is cozy, charming, tastefully decorated, and provides all of the comforts guests enjoy!

  • 5 of 5

This is the fourth time I have stayed in this wonderful house! Of all of the charms of Santa Fe, this house now lands at the top of that list for me!

The location is superb and is a short distance from Canyon Road, many restaurants, and an easy walk to The Plaza. I simply love the house & the peaceful energy that surrounds it!
