This custom-furnished apartment provides all the amenities that one may need to enjoy time at Rockport's most popular destination, Bearskin Neck.

The Mariner, located at 35 Bearskin Neck, offers: two bedrooms - the Bearskin Neck-side bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the Harbor-side bedroom has a king-sized bed; a full bath; a kitchen fully-stocked with everything one may need to prepare and enjoy meals; a dining area; a living room with flat-screen, cable TV; and deck with table and seating overlooking Rockport Harbor.

Art galleries, shoppes, and eateries are steps outside the front entrance, and Bradley Wharf, Rockport Harbor, and Motif #1 greet you at the rear entrance.

Lobsters are unloaded daily on Bradley Wharf, prepared next door at the Roy Moore Lobster Company, and enjoyed by many on their back deck 'in the rough'.

Parking is notoriously difficult on Bearskin Neck. However, we have a reserved parking spot across from Front Beach, an approximate 10 minute, pleasant walk along Main Street. We recommend dropping off luggage at the Bradley Wharf entrance to the apartment upon arrival, parking in the reserved spot, and walking back to the apartment.

About Justin Mierz

Justin grew up in Rockport and graduated in 1992 from Rockport High School before heading to East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Justin returned home after graduation, received a Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, and met his wife, Marcie, in the North End in Boston. Justin spent 13 years as an Environmental Analyst for the Environmental Epidemiology Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health before resigning in 2013 to operate vacation rentals in Rockport. Marcie is a software engineering manager at NASDAQ in Boston. Justin and Marcie live with their two girls - Ava Mae (8 years old) and Sadie (6 years old) - on Atlantic Avenue in Rockport.

Fabulous!!!!

Amazing views. Every detail was thought about in the kitchen cabinets. Immaculate clean. Great mattresses. Beautiful linen. The ONLY two things that gave it 4 stars were being up above a restaurant noisy... so windows needed to be closed and trucks coming in late at night for delivery and I think garbage pick up. Finally it did not bother us but if you are old it is a bit of a "walk" to the parking so if it were raining or if you are unable to walk a bit that may be an issue. However, the location, view and unit were just wonderful.

Owner's Response: Thank you, Linda, for the review. It was a pleasure hosting you and Margaret! I think it’s important to clarify a couples statements made regarding our neighbor - Roy Moore Lobster Company - and their deliveries to avoid misconceptions for future guests. First, their trash is most always picked up in the mornings because the driver prefers to not navigate Bearskin Neck and Bradley Wharf during the day when it’s busy with people. Moreover, picking up trash “late at night” would prove to be difficult in the darkness of Bradley Wharf. Secondly, Roy Moore Lobster Company closes at 6:00 PM. After cleaning up, the guys are usually gone by 8:00 PM. There are *usually* no deliveries “late at night” because Roy Moore is closed and there is nobody there to accept late night deliveries. Also, to be specific, the walk to the reserved parking space is about 0.4 miles or about a 10 minute walk. Parking for non-residents is nearly non-existent on Bearskin Neck/Bradley Wharf.

This was our second time at the Mariner and we are going back next September! We feel very much at home there. We love the openness and the views are the best. The place is very clean and well appointed. The bed and bedding is like sleeping on a cloud. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful!

The Mariner is perfect! The apartment has everything needed for a great stay away from home. I have been going to Rockport every summer for 6 years and was glad to find the Mariner for my stay this year. It is so convenient -only used my car once to go to Halibut Point! Roy Moore's Lobster is right next door-an almost daily stop for me-great group of guys...

I recommend the Mariner highly, but don't book the weeks I want to go next year!! Thanks Justin.

Great time from a repeat visitor

My two kids and I stayed here for the second year in a row. I grew up in Rockport, and have stayed here while visiting family. The location is great if you want the bearskin neck experience and quick access to the water. The apartment itself is beautifully upgraded, finished and comfortable. Everything you need to enjoy a stay in Rockport is in this apartment. Justin is also cool and easy to work with. It's perfect for us and we will look to stay there again.
