My husband and I arrived in Manila on 5/10 and as Richard told me beforehand, someone would be at the condo to provide us with the keys, etc. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours and to my delight, they hadn't given up on us and in fact, Richard's staff had the condo ready (air conditioning was on) when we arrived. Of course I had a lot of questions for Richard and he was very accommodating and prompt with his responses, even though we generally conducted our conversations via email since I didn't have a local cell phone. The condo itself had all the amenities I'm used to: WIFI, washer/dryer, cable TV (we were able to watch the NBA playoffs), and the kitchen was sufficient (we weren't planning on cooking anything anyway, just heating up leftovers). The master bath was kinda funky though - the tub was too high I seriously thought about getting a step ladder - but it was spacious enough. Also, we had a couple of mishaps about clogging the toilets the first couple of days because I didn't know we couldn't flush the toilet paper down the toilets and instead we had place the used toilet paper in the trash (kinda yucky) but they provided ample trash bags so we were able to dispose of the trash down the chute quite regularly. Richard's cleaning person Janet came in twice while we were there. The condo is in a great location - close to practically everything. There is a building catty corner from the condo called Bonifacio Stopover which had various eating establishments like Max's, Jollibee, McDonald's, Wendy's, Starbucks and numerous Filipino/Thai/Japanese restaurants. The drug store Watson's and the grocery store Robinson's were only three or four blocks away. Richard actually came and settled the bill with us @ 6am last Sunday (5/22) before we left for the airport. Despite the toilet paper mishaps, I still give this condo a 5 star rating.
Location is ideal. Walking distance to St. Luke's Hospital and other conveniences (restaurants, grocery store, shopping). The rooms were clean. The curtains and shades in the master bedroom let bright street lights in making my first night a bit restless. I was able to get a better night's sleep in the smaller bedroom which had less windows and didn't face the bright street corner. This was the only delta. Richard responded that better curtains are the next improvement planned. The kitchen is adequate for short stays. Utilities was a separate, but reasonable charge.
Host was very accomodating!
The host is very helpful and the apartment very clean. Also, one extra cleaning included without extra cost. Very secure area and felt completely safe all the time.
Great location. The host was easy to deal with. The unit has a homey feel.
The pool was unclean though. Not the host's fault. More the facilities manager of the condo.
Overall experience was good.
This a great condo. I have stayed in others in the area. It is 2 blocks from St. Lukes Hospital. For a small family it has everything. 2 bedrooms/2baths and washer and dryer were the things that made it great for me. Plus all the other features mentioned in the listing. There are many shops and restaurants within 3 blocks. Taxis are inexpensive and easy to get for either Market-Market Mall or to get to Makati. A great unit in a great location. Richard is very easy to deal with. I had to catch an early flight Sunday morning and he was there at 5:30am for me to check out with a smile.
