My goal is to provide customers low-cost lodging in the Snowshoe Village while ensuring a comfortable vacation. My low price guarantee is valid from mid-March through the first weekend of skiing. I'll beat any verifiable, comparable Mountain Lodge offer during those dates. I have additional condos if this one is booked.

Snowshoe Resort is a year-round vacation resort. In the winter, you can enjoy 60 different ski slopes, two terrain parks, tubing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. After the slopes close you can stroll through the Village's restaurants, shops, kids’ entertainment zone, nightclub, full-service spa and a teen center for those 20 years old and younger.

In the summer you can plan on a significantly cooler climate in the mountains where you can hike, mountain bike, fish, paddle-boat, shoot sporting clays, ride RAZR 4-wheelers, or golf at Raven Golf Course. There is even a zip line right in the Village! Year-round you can sightsee, swim, see live theater, or take a scenic ride on a historic train. If you’re planning a summer trip, double-check with Snowshoe to ensure the activities you want will be available.

The Mountain Lodge is a Ski In/Ski Out complex ideally located right in the Snowshoe Village and next to the slopes, and has its own private parking lot (free to Mountain Lodge guests). You’ll be 30 yards from the Ballhooter Lift and the Beginners’ Slope, all within the Basin. The indoor pool/hot tub/ sauna (additional charges apply), church, and general store are only a short walk from your building. Your condo at the Mountain Lodge is also within walking distance of the Western Territory slopes and the shuttle to night skiing at Silver Creek, giving you outstanding access to all 60 slopes. On the ground floor, you’ll find a relaxing lobby with a warm (in the winter) fireplace. Mountain Lodge common areas and condos each have their own dedicated wi-fi. You’ll have an arcade in the building, as well as Snowshoe’s conference rooms and the Comedy Cellar. Mountain Lodge also offers a nightly movie during the ski season. Mountain Lodge is the only building on the mountain with on-site maintenance, just in case. The mild weather most of the summer at the top of the mountain allows for the lack of air conditioning in the building and in most condos. Despite this, some condos do have interior air conditioning. Please check the condo’s amenities for details.

You’ll have a spacious one bedroom condo that easily sleeps four and is one of the few with air conditioning. This unit is beautifully re-modeled with oak doors, oak trim, oak cabinets, and oak wainscoting almost throughout. The kitchen is well-stocked with dinnerware, utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, etc. so you can bring food to eat-in. The bedroom has a queen bed and a TV and has plenty of storage space to keep you gear out of your way. There’s a sleeper sofa in the living room. The bathroom is re-modeled with a double vanity for extra room. There's a TV/DVD/VCR player in the living room. Videos can be rented downstairs in the lobby or at Wildcat Provisions. Your condo will have a built-in ski rack and a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountain.

Your cell phone may not work in and around Snowshoe Mountain. The area east of the mountain is a quiet zone due to the Green Bank National Radio Astronomy Observatory. As of 2015, AT&T has service at the resort, but not down the mountain to the east. Your GPS will work everywhere, but don’t count on your phone working (voice or data).

Guests may begin checking in at 5:00 PM.

Pocahontas County has numerous vacation options during all seasons. WV has great skiing, and plenty else to offer! The Split Rock Pool is just across the parking lot. It has a heated indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub (open even in the winter). You'll have to pay Snowshoe separately for this amenity. The building shows kids' movies in a common area during the ski season.

Snowshoe Mountain Lodge #188

Let me start by saying that I already miss this place! The room was exactly as described. Clean and well stocked with everything you need for a great stay on the mountain. Enjoyed the wifi in the room, something new to Snowshoe. Unlimited free U.S. calls made it easy to keep in touch with family back home. Plenty of premium TV channels as well as access to Netflix and a new Playstation with plenty of games for the kids. The sofa bed was comfortable and the luggage rack in the bedroom closet helped avoid clutter in the room. A coat rack with a place for ski's in the hallway was an added bonus.

This unit is on the far end of the hotel and a great walking distance from the ski out location, but I didn't deduct on the rating because you can rent a locker fairly cheap to store equipment near the slopes and the location also has it's benefits. The Mountain Lodge is generally more quiet on the far end of the hotel and the mountain views are spectacular. You are actually looking at mountain tops from your private balcony verses a ski lift. It's also just a short walk across the parking lot to Split Rock pools where you'll find heated indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs, as well as a dry sauna. There is a $15 per person/per day fee to access the pool, so I suggest you pay when they first open (usually around 11 a.m.) so that you'll have access until closing, which is generally 9 p.m. Very small children are free and they don't generally charge for parents who are merely observing. Another benefit to this location is that it is steps away from a walk out location to the parking lot, making loading and unloading a breeze.

We have been visitng Snowshoe Mountain each March for the past 20 years and absolutely love this resort. Sure there are pros and cons but overall the resort does a good job, especially where it counts. A few years ago I hit a large mogul going down the Ballhooter and had a pretty bad fall. Ski patrol was by my side before I could even gather my bearings and realize what happened. I was without injury, but it was nice to know they are quick to respond when needed.

We have rented through Mr. Wolfe numerous times and have never been disappointed. The room rates are reasonable and fair and he is easy to work with. He is professional and courteous and returns calls and emails promptly. We have also stayed in ML#142 and enjoyed that room/location as well. Mr. Wolfe is first class and I would 100% recommend renting through him!

Great time at the Mountain Lodge!

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay here, children are 9 and 7 years old. Plenty of room, nicely equipped kitchen, and a good location to ski lifts and the village. Skiers of all skill levels can find an appropriate way down from this ski in/ski out location on the mountain, just grab Ballhooter lift back to the lodge by 4:30pm. Our children enjoyed the video game room and playground equipment during our time off the slopes. This is also a convenient area to pick up your pre purchased lift tickets from The Depot in the village. Shuttles to Silver Creek (night skiing option for us) was also convenient.

Our family night skied, dined out, shopped, day skied, and caught shuttles all from this area around the lodge. We literally did not get in our car for over 5 days. Really good location on the mountain. I will stay here again.

Good first floor rental away from congestion.

Tim’s condo was well maintained, clean and found to be as stated in the description. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals if you so choose. I especially appreciated to room darkening curtains in the bedroom. The hallways always have lights on and being able to have the bedroom dark to sleep in was a plus for me.

Tim answered questions promptly and was very professional to deal with.
