About Robin Morris
I am a full time potter and an avid outdoor enthusiast. Besides whitewater kayaking and skiing I love to bicycle and have traveled by bike across Australia, New Zealand, England, Tasmania, Ireland, Scottland, Wales, the Isle of Mann and the Northeastern US. I also love to hike and dream of someday getting the tiime to Hike the entire Appliachian Trail as a thru-hiker
Why Robin Morris chose Confluence
The Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania is an outdoor mecca. It boasts the best whitewater kayaking and rafting in the Eastern US, has the longest rails to trail bicycle trail in the states and an amazing array of hiking and mountain biking trails. We are surrounded by 4 State parks and our four ski resorts keep us active for the winter season.Being adjacent to Ohiopyle state park we have a front row seat to all of these things. We are secluded but close enough to the small towns of Confluence and Ohiopyle that anything we need can be easily obtained. In addition, we are located close to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob and these along with the other cultural attractions available just an hour and a half away in PLittsburgh we feel we have the best of all worlds

Coziest cabin ever!
Our extended family stayed here for a holiday get-together. We loved that the house was decorated for Christmas! Lovely, immaculate, perfect for a family. Robin and Dan were friendly and responsive. The kitchen is well stocked, including pots, serving dishes and utensils. WE really enjoyed the woodburning fireplace. The area was beautiful, especially in the snow. We would definitely come here again.
Amazing, Beautiful stay!
We had an amazing stay at Paddlers Retreat. Everything was perfect and comfortable and there is tons and tons of things to do and places to explore nearby. The house was just perfect and the location was so pretty.
Thank you Catherine. We enjoyed hosting such a wonderful group!
Train, Train go away
The property itself is nice and the house was clean and met our needs (6 adults, 7 kids). The kids loved the attic bunk area and enjoyed having their own space. The lawn was great for outdoor games, the river front was sufficient for fishing (although the water was high), and the campers/neighbors were not intrusive. All in all, we were comfortable.
The reason for my low rating is due to the trains...endless trains! They are right next to the property...about 50 feet from the front door...and run 20-30 times per day. No one slept that first night and we were zombies the next day. Ear plugs were provided in each bed room and they did help for the 2nd and 3rd nights we were there. That was surely the first time I've ever slept with ear plugs in. I'm sure the locals are accustomed to this lifestyle, but our group is not and based upon that we don't see ourselves returning. I wish the caretakers Robin and Dan the best of luck, as I can see the effort they put towards their business.
Wonderful place for a group
We booked this property for a weekend away with friends (12 of us) and it turned out to be one of our favorite vacation rentals we've ever stayed in! The property is very well appointed and had pretty much everything we could've possibly needed to go away for a weekend. It's extremely well taken care of, clean, and spacious. The only down sides were the VERY low ceiling in the attic where a good portion of the beds were and we would've appreciated a later check out time. That said, 6 men stayed up there and ducked and survived just fine ;) We really enjoyed our time here and recommend it to anyone staying in this area!
We loved the house and the view. Our group never wanted to leave the house because it had everything we needed. We had a group of 18 and it fit us perfectly. Mr. Dan was more than helpful and was easy to talk to. There plenty of towels and plent of blankets to keep our group warm. The group went snow tubing at Seven Springs which was 45 minutes away. Thank you so much for opening up your home to us.
So glad you had a good time; we enjoyed having you stay. What a lovely bunch!
Remind us next time to give you directions to get you to Seven Springs in less time. It's easy and shorter !
