Lovely stay
Everything well appointed and comfortable and clean. Nice to be right on the river. Train in back did not run during night. Did not disturb us. We would stay again.

Fishing trip
Overall good. Showers were a lil small, and it was hard to maneuver a big truck out of the chalet parking but they have other parking spaces available.

Peaceful
My husband and I went up here to enjoy some times to ourselves and it was so worth it. The view and sound of the river was phenomenal. Although the trains drive passed a lot, there is something soothing about them. We will definitely be going back.

Suggestions
The property was very nice. The proximity and frequency of trains surprised us. We know you have no control over that! Suggestions: the front bedroom needs a new mattress The area around the dining table needs better lighting Include information for guests that soap, shampoo and conditioner are not provided Mention that the Flight 93 memorial is in the area Thank you for a lovely stay, and we have recommended your place to friends. We also loved the pottery.

Beautiful cabin
We had a great stay! The house was perfect for a few people to stay, and was so nice to be so close to the river. Robin and Dan were very helpful with any questions we had about the property and the area.

About the host

Hosted by Robin Morris

Host profile image
I am a full time potter and an avid outdoor enthusiast. Besides whitewater kayaking and skiing I love to bicycle and have traveled by bike across Australia, New Zealand, England, Tasmania, Ireland, Scottland, Wales, the Isle of Mann, the Natchez Trace and the Northeastern US. I also love to hike and dream of someday getting the time to Hike the entire Appliachian Trail as a thru-hiker

Why they chose this property

The Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania is an outdoor mecca. It boasts the best whitewater kayaking and rafting in the Eastern US, has the longest rails to trail bicycle trail in the states and an amazing array of hiking and mountain biking trails. We are surrounded by 4 State parks and our seven winter rec/ski resorts keep us active for the winter season. Being adjacent to Ohiopyle state park we have a front row seat to all of these things. We are secluded but close enough to the small towns of Confluence and Ohiopyle that anything we need can be easily obtained. In addition, we are located close to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob and these along with the other cultural attractions available just an hour and a half away in Pittsburgh we feel we have the best of all worlds

What makes this property unique

We are riverside and this gorgeous Chalet has a large stone fireplace (two stories high!) cathedral all Cypress ceiling, expansive decking, outdoor fire pits, large yard and beautiful landscaping. It is a true dream property.
