A perfect rural Vermont farmhouse getaway.

  • 5 of 5

I rented this Vershire Vermont farmhouse so that some of my family would be comfortable during a family reunion week we held nearby. I was at the house regularly during the week. They were very comfortable, commented on how lovely it is, and were very happy with it! While it looks smaller than it is from the outside, it includes four good sized bedrooms. (One large one has 2 queen sized beds in it.) They loved the kitchen and made large breakfasts every day. The washer and dryer was a plus, as some had traveled from Europe and had packed lightly. The hike up the hill behind the house is beautiful, and the grounds are carefully groomed and welcoming. The owner (local) is very helpful, and available if necessary. I highly recommend it! It is near beautiful lakes (Fairlee in particular), a fabulous farm stand (CrossRoad) and many interesting and fun Vermont attractions..

LOVELY historical house in bucolic setting

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here over long weekend for my son's graduation at Dartmouth. It was a bit of a drive but beautiful and worth it! We enjoyed the historical appointments and setting very much. The house has double beds which were a challenge to my 6 foot plus husband and son. We were a little hot at night due to the weather. HOWEVER, the fireflies made up for that! Also, there is one working shower, with half bath upstairs. Lastly, internet is advertised, but there is none.

Good place for a great price.

  • 4 of 5

The owner was very helpful after our vehicle broke down. The place is very antique. One thing that would be nice is some couches to relax on. The current ones are more like a wide padded chair. The dolls were a nice compliment...

Great house

  • 5 of 5

The house combines very nice antique touches (furniture, art, copper tub, flooring, ceiling beams, etc) with modern comforts (comfortable beds, washing machine, shower, etc). The property is quite large and has spectacular views. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing secluded location

  • 5 of 5

Diann's home was amazing and gave us a sense of VT that we wouldn't have gotten if we stood anyplace else. From waking up early to the view and driving in the snow to the country store for breakfast supplies the whole weekend was great. We would definitely visit and stay here again.
