The Wild Rose cabin was constructed in 2013 offers direct walking access (200 feet) to the Yellowstone River and is a 'stones throw' from the pond. This cabin is attractive, well-furnished, spacious, and very clean and comfortable.

The Wild Rose cabin is well-furnished, attractive, spacious, very clean and comfortable. There are two cabins on the property, but there is plenty of privacy as the cabins are separated from each other. Slept like a baby on the memory foam topper on the bed. We loved the cabin, but the views and the setting are the real show-stoppers. The cabins are right on the Yellowstone River in gorgeous Paradise Valley. Looking out from the front windows are a small pond, steps from the front porch, with the river in the middle ground and the beautiful Absaroka Mountains reaching to the sky on the other side of the river. The view is breathtaking and we must have taken 100 photos of this view at different times of the day. On the river are boats floating by with fly fishermen casting for trout, with bald eagles flying about. Across the river in a meadow was a herd of antelope. We wanted to stay there forever. If you can tear yourself away from the cabin, Yellowstone entrance is only 30-45 minutes away. KBAR in Gardiner has terrific pizza, plus local color. In Livingston, don't miss the Yellowstone Gateway Museum. Hiking and horseback riding stables are nearby if you aren't into fishing or photographing scenery and wildlife. We had a wonderful experience here.

A great place to relax and unwind a bit.

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great. The cabin is clean, well furnished and a perfect place to get away from it all. Since the river was closed during our stay, fishing was limited to the pond and a few side trips to the Gallatin and the Madison, plus one to Virginia City and one to the Park. The Park was just one giant gridlock even though we were there after Labor Day, so be prepared for some slow driving if you go there. The river closure was devastating to the guides and rafting businesses and hopefully it will reopen soon. Tom and Jyoti are fabulous hosts and agreed with the minor suggestions we made for improvement. We hope to be back next year.

Perfect Cabin

  • 5 of 5

It was a great stay for me and my two sons Montana getaway. However, they closed 186 miles of the Yellowstone River but the local fly shop gave us several options. This is a beautiful area.

Delightful cabin on the Yellowstone River

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely, well designed and very clean vacation cabin on the Yellowstone. The location is excellent for access to the park, the cities of Livingston and Gardner and Chico Hot Springs. We watched deer from our porch across the river every day, saw elk and bison outside Gardner too numerous to count and saw millions of stars after the sun set. The only reason we can't give five stars is that by the time we got there in August the lovely private pond right in front of the cabin had been fished out. The up side to that is that the owners were very receptive to our suggestion that they make the pond catch and release fly fishing only. We would definitely return to this property if the fishing situation were improved. The owners are on site and and are wonderful hosts!

Owner's Response: We will stock the pond with 8-10" trout and in the future make fishing catch-and-release with barbless hooks so that guests can enjoy throughout the year. Thank-you for the review and suggestions!

Beautiful Location and Property

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Yellowstone, this is it. You will be about 40 minutes outside of Yellowstone, and only 15-20 minutes from Livingston. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the cabin was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. Really, I couldn't recommend staying here highly enough.

Beautiful, restful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We came here for a pastoral sabbatical, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Peace and quiet, wildlife, gorgeous mountain view, complete with the comforts of home. The bed was luxuriously comfortable, the decor was lovely, and we loved the coffee and tea bar. It couldn't have been nicer. Thanks, Tom and Jyoti! :)
