Our Little Ranch Retreat
We invite you to stay at our warm and welcoming little ranch retreat. Our home has travertine tile and hardwood flooring throughout. Antique items decorate most every room. Our home comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 guests.
We have 3 spacious bedrooms with ample pillows, down comforters and extra blankets for each bed. In addition to the large beds, there are also a full-sized pull out sofa bed and twin-sized rollaway bed.
There are 2 full baths equipped with thick absorbent towels and basic toiletries. The master bath has a large custom built shower and a separate roomy jetted tub. The other bath features a claw foot tub with a one of a kind overhead shower.
In the main room you can sink yourself into the over-sized leather couch, love seat or chair for watching television, socializing or to simply relax at the end of the day’s adventure. The den has a comfortable place to sit and enjoy our small library of horse related reading material. There are many board games and toys to entertain all ages as well.
Our fully stocked kitchen has everything you need. Bring your groceries for preparing simple snacks to cooking gourmet meals. The kitchen and dining area are open to each other making it a perfect place for family and friends to gather.
Our horses, which are located on the property, are an absolute plus. They’re eager to take carrots from you and to make you smile.
We have staggering sunrises and sunsets most everyday. Stars appear in numbers beyond belief in the crisp clear night air as the Grand Canyon area has some of the darkest skies in the world.
It’s always fun to roast marshmallows while sitting around the fire ring located outside and taking in the unobstructed mountain views. Relax under the large 700 square foot patio / awning which is equipped with an outdoor kitchen and barbeque grill.
Our little retreat is peacefully secluded from the hustle and bustle yet it is conveniently located about 30 minutes from the south rim entrance to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy the amazing Grand Canyon at the viewpoints of the rim. Hike a trail, take a river trip or view the wonderment of her beauty by air tour. We are also located about 30 minutes from the historic City of Williams where you can shop its unique stores and visit local attractions such as Bearizona.
Come visit us for your vacation or getaway. A positive guest experience is truly a passion of ours so we know you will certainly enjoy your stay.
Since 1994, Bob and I have made the Grand Canyon area our home and have raised our three boys in this wonderful location of Arizona.
Maxine purchased this house in 2003
This unique home offers a perfect get away. Our attention and care went into decorating every room.
Affectionate horses located on property. Unobstructed views of the San Francisco Peaks mountain range. Have outdoor burn ring / camp fire. Cooking facilities and barbeque on the huge deck.
We loved our stay at the little ranch retreat! We arrived and within an hour had a surprise spring snow shower that thrilled our kids to no end! The house was perfect for us! Grandma had her own room. Tween sister decided to claim another room as her own and her teenage brother was more than happy to be on the pull out couch in the little family area. The house was clean and well-equipped. Our only issue was no wifi. Cell service was ok, tho went in and out and we couldn't do much (I'm a consultant and my husband has a job where we need to check in) so had to go to Williams and camp out in a coffee shop mid-stay. But, couldn't ask for a better location! Less than 30 minutes from the South Rim Entrance and not far for a nice day journey to Sedona! Easy to find/access. Loved cooking on the vintage O'Keefe stove, too. Nice master bath. Loved feeding treats to the horses. Wish the weather had been a little less windy to enjoy the outside, but still, just great. Sorry we never got a chance to say hi to the owners. I will also say that all house instructions were well-detailed and easy to read and follow and our deposit refund was put in motion before we even got to our next destination. We'd love to stay there again.
Beds were comfortable, bathrooms updated and nice. Plenty to do at the ranch - kids loved playing games and feeding horses. Kitchen was great, they even left some snacks for us. 30 min north of Williams, about a 20 min drive to Grand Canyon. Views of the sunrise and mountains were amazing! Would highly recommend this property.
Our family of three (Mom, Dad, & Teen) truly enjoyed our stay at the ranch! The location is just what we were looking for, quiet and away from the crowd. The stargazing was amazing, none of us have ever seen a sky like that. We enjoyed hot dogs and s'mores cooked over the fire. The beds were so comfy and the linens are good quality. The kitchen had all the needed equipment, plus a few bells and whistles. Teen and Mom enjoyed the whirlpool tub. This really felt like you were staying in a home and not just a rental.
It was an easy drive to Tusayan where we caught the shuttle to Grand Canyon National Park for two of our days. Yaki point was a great location to view sunset at the Grand Canyon. We also drove to Sedona for a day and rented a Jeep through Barlow Rentals. This was Dad & Teen's favorite day! If you're a Triple D fan, Salsa Brava in Flagstaff lived up to the hype - get the Lobster stuffed enchiladas.
It was a fun and relaxing vacation helped along by a cozy, well equipped house!
We took a road trip to the Grand Canyon and this house was just south of there; far enough to get away from the crowds, and close enough that driving in each day was no trouble at all. Our kids loved the games and the horses and we loved the spacious rooms! Stargazing at night was wonderful, the kitchen had everything we could want, and the washer and dryer were a god-send. We will recommend this place to our friends and would totally stay here again! Thanks!
The location of the place was perfect for our trip. Our goal was to be in "dark sky". Do plan ahead before heading here. What I mean by this is food and gas is not around the corner and you may have to drive about 20-25 minutes to find any and then you will be at the mercy of small town hours. This was not a concern for us because we had a full tank of gas and planned on driving to Williams to grab a bite to eat on route 66. We only stayed 1 night but found the property to be cozy, welcoming and it had plenty of room for all 6 of us. We had 3 couples and all of us said the beds were the most comfortable out of the 6 different properties we stayed at during our 11 day trip. If you like soft beds you will be in your glory. They have 3 horses and carrots were provided in the refrigerator so we could interact and treat the horses with a little snack. When we were there it was extremely windy and we were not able to take advantage of the porch, outdoor dining or fire pit. We did enjoy taking a time lapse and pictures of the night sky. In the morning we saw the sun rise from the corner window, and off in the distance there were three antelope and wild bunnies to watch. If we are in the area again, this is one place we would revisit. A very enjoyable stay.
Very quaint and comfortable house about 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon. Our family of kids, grandparents and adults enjoyed the comfy beds, the jacuzzi tub, the game room, and feeding the horses. As a bonus, the stars at night at this location are wondrous to behold. Way better than any hotel you could stay at and much more memorable.
30 minutes south of the majestic Grand Canyon which provides numerous activities. 30 minutes north of the historic City of Williams for shopping and dining. Approx 1 1/2 hours away from the red rocks of Sedona for a memorable day trip.
