About this property

Come hide from the stress of life. The Chattahoochee National Forest surrounds my unique, 10 acre piece of mountain paradise. Rustic with luxury. Homeyness with style. An all natural wood exterior and interior creates a cozy, romantic ambiance. Once you step inside, the stress melts away.

The kids can play on 10 acres that include a creek, pond, and acres to roam. The finished basement has a recreation pool/ping pong table with DVD TV.

New improvements include new metal roof, new driveway, new twin mattresses and area rugs. And a front porch you'll never want to leave!

Stay put and watch the wildlife from the front porch or venture into the wilderness. Toccoa River fly fishing and tubing, Lake Blue Ridge boating, Appalachian/Benton MacKaye Hiking, Ocoee River whitewater rafting, quaint dining and shopping in the city of Blue Ridge are all within a few miles of my mountain house. And all only 1.5 hours from ATL.

We are pet friendly, but you must disclose if you are bringing pets. There is a separate contract to cover damage deposit.

3 spacious bedrooms, with the master on the main. Main bath features all travertine tile with walk in shower. Granite counter with glass bowls. Remaining 2 bedrooms have queen beds, with 2 twins in the gigantic loft.

Kitchen features exotic granite countertops. Huge granite island. Oversized sink. All usual kitchen amenities. Full dining table.

Main living area features a cabin sofa and love seat. Beautiful wood burning fireplace is the center of attention.

Basement is finished with pool table/ping pong table, bar area and 48' wide tv for gaming or dvd movies. Sectional sofa bed completes the Kid Cave.

This property is a secluded paradise in heaven

I stayed here with my wife, one year, old son, and our dog, for five nights. We have visited the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia in the past, but this was by far the best experience we have ever had, and this was by far the best property we’ve ever stayed in at the Blue Ridge Mountains. The host, Leanne, is more than accommodating and super reasonable. Also, the home has a really nice energy. We really didn’t have to leave the property most of our trip.

Heaven on Earth

Leanne and her beautiful home is just amazing. It was everything we were looking for and more. Leanne had everything we needed. Only one trip to the Dollar General was needed (and that was for ice cream 😂). Leanne welcomed us on our 1st day and checked in on our last to make sure everything was okay during our stay. We will be back!! ❤️ On a side note if you like seafood check out The Cove in Morganton. It was very good and only a short drive from house.

Great quiet location.

We really enjoyed our stay. Property is remote and private. Leanne was great with communication. The dogs absolutely loved the property. Really great place to relax and unwind.

Great Mountain Retreat

This is a very roomy log cabin with one easy step to the main porch. Plenty of comfy seating with a large TV and beautiful fireplace. An added bonus was a beautiful huge lit up tree in the great room and lit up smaller trees on the fireplace mantel. It just set the mood for a wonderful week. Lots of areas to explore on this property as well. We had a lovely time at the cabin.

Owner and Georgia Real Estate Broker who loves the outdoors wants to share my paradise with you. I am a small business owner, a frequent traveler, a sports enthusiast and a nature lover. I know once you step on the property, you will fall in love with it like I have.

I am currently in the midst of a personal sabbatical, working at seasonal jobs I love, meeting everyone I can and will soon write about my experience in the loft of the cabin. In the meantime, please enjoy my Daves' retreat while you can.

Why they chose this property

A short trip from ATL will find yourself in the middle of the Chattahochee National Forrest. Once you visit, it will become very obvious how lucky I was to find this cabin.

What makes this property unique

I recommend coming prepared with at least a few days of groceries. Once you arrive, you will not want to leave. Even though the nearest grocery store is but 15 minutes away, you'll want to leave civilization behind for a least a few days.

First order of business after putting up the groceries is to pour yourself your favorite beverage and sit on the front porch swing. Unwind. Relax. Decompress.

Next, familiarize yourself with the house. Pick your bedrooms. Become one in the treetops as you gaze out the giant loft windows. Make yourself at home. You will soon find how easy that will be.

Peak at the basement. Plan your downstairs game time. Maybe a little wager at the pool table. Bring your Wii or X Box to hook up to the gigantic TV. The kids won't surface for hours.

Next fix yourself your favorite meal. My favorite, a big spaghetti dinner. The open kitchen and living area provides a great gathering spot. Of course, hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill is a crowd pleaser. There's a fire pit next to the carport, for your safe campfire. There are plenty of lawn chairs to sit and roast marshmallows.

Take a hike down Daves Road. If you continue past the house, this will lead you up Gork Hollow to the top of Picklesheimer Mountain. There are beautiful views up there. The walk is peaceful, through the tall pines and oaks, past the mountain feeder creeks embraced by dense ferns. You might even come upon a few deer.

Be adventurous and explore the area. Embrace the north Georgia mountains. Fish, hike, shop, dine, raft, and do some scenic driving. Make sure you visit all the websites listed. With the numerous things to do, you might run out of time if you don't plan!

OR you can just stay at the cabin and relax!
