Very Clean

  • 5 of 5

The house was very clean and had more than enough linens. It had two thermostats so it was nice to heat the entire house. There were plenty of blankets to use, we had a fairly large group so the blankets were nice to have. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking essentials that were up to date. We enjoyed getting a history of the house and neighborhood from Curtis and he was available when I called. I would recommend this house to my friends and family and will definitely look into it our next trip to the area.

Amazing place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had eight people stay in this house for a Chiefs game and it was the best experience! The owner is very nice! It was clean, had everything we needed and never had any issues. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Our four day long weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

Historic style of home, Plenty of room for our family of eight. Enjoyed sitting out on the back patio visiting with my brother and sister and their families in the evenings. We would stay here again. Thanks Curtis and Brenda

Family Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Rented this house for a family weekend / NFL football game. Didn't know what to expect other than it was close to the airport (25 mins) and Arrowhead Stadium (10 mins). Pictures do not do this house justice! It had plenty of space for our party of 9 and was very comfortable and spacious. Curtis was very friendly and readily available if you needed help with anything. Clean quarters and plenty of sheets and towels. Safe neighborhood with plenty of church, entertainment, and dining options close by. All in all, I would definitely stay at Curtis' vacation rental again if we went back to Kansas City for a trip.

Perfect place for a family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this charming house. We gathered to Independence with a family group of 25 (9 adults and 16 kids). Not all 25 were able to sleep in this house(got a couple of near by hotel rooms) but we used the house as home base. It was perfect for hanging out and eating family meals. We loved using the back patio complete with tiki torches and a fire pit. The kids loved the attic full of dolls and antiques. The furniture throughout the house is antique and charming. It made you feel like you were living back in the early 1900s. There is even an old record player. So fun! The house had plenty of towels, linens and blankets and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies including a crock pot and electric griddle...we used both to cook pancakes and a big supper for all those kids! We appreciated a personal tour by the owner who was available to help with any needs. We loved staying in this charming house in a historic part of town and would definitely do it again.

Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

Curtis was very knowledgeable about the history of the home and neighborhood. Overall, my group of 9 was comfortable and impressed with how well the house was stocked. We didn't have a problem with just one full bathroom after we worked out a schedule. Most of the women did their makeup using the vanities that were in the rooms. We set down towels first, the wood was beautiful. It was the perfect place to relax after our day out and about.
