Excellent family stay by the beach

The location is perfect; Dayle was a great host; and the carriage house is perfectly set up for a beach stay. Our family of four (including two kids aged 5 and 7) felt very well cared for. It is an easy walk to the beach, the Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade, and Venice Beach. The kids loved the provided beach toys, and we loved the convenient parking and the complimentary bottle of wine. What a great home base when visiting family in LA. Thanks, Dayle!

Santa Monica in great location

The most perfect little 'homeaway'

Let me start by saying that the home has everything you need. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds and bedding are comfortable, there are DVDs, wifi and BIKES! No hiring necessary. And then there are the owners. This lovely couple went above and beyond. They were so flexible with check in and check out which really made transitioning between homes a breeze. They left us a gorgeous welcome gift which the kids gobbled up (cookies) and they were genuinely just lovely people. The location is ideal. You walk out the gate down the lane and you are at the beach. The shopping promenade is within walking distance. We found everything to be really accessible from here. Loved it! The perfect way to spend a magical Californian adventure with our kids. We will never forget this place and hope to return soon! Thanks Dayle and Kerry!

Loved this place

The location is amazing! Just a few houses from the beautiful beach. The house was perfect for us. Kids stayed upstairs, my husband and I were in downstairs bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed. Laundry was a bonus. We could walk to so many great places. The Santa Monica Pier was very close, but we were in a nearby quiet neighborhood. Venice beach was a bit further down - but still walkable and skate-able. So close to both Getty museums. A short trip to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We had the best time. Our amazing hosts helped us with parking and street cleaning information. They were the nicest! I can’t wait to go back. Thanks for the hospitality!

Beachside Santa Monica stay

The absolute best for a family looking for a beach location- they have everything your family needs from alllll the blankets and sheets and pillows, scooters for the kids, laundry, shower and kitchen essentials provided (HUGE help!), great communication and location, such a beautiful home and landscaping, the list goes on! You will be so pleased!
