Guestbook comments from the owner

Amazing! This has been our second time here, and we had (another) great time with our two dogs, Lady and Minnie. My sister, brother, and parents all loved relaxing in the hot tub and snoozing by the fireplace. We also enjoyed the art studios, the Asheville Brewing Company

and going up the mountains. This is the perfect cabin and we will surely be coming back!

Cozy Winter Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. Living in Florida, we love to take winter vacations to enjoy some cooler weather. The cabin was perfect. Clean, quaint, and cozy. It was so nice sitting in the hot tub looking up at the stars at the end of the evening. We also loved sitting by the wood burning stove reading and relaxing. It even snowed on the last day we were there which was very exciting and beautiful. All in all it was a great stay and we are definitely looking forward to staying here again!

Quiet, quant area

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was a very cozy and nice place for our small family to spend our holidays. It offered all of the means to make our stay easy. It is secluded but not too far of a drive into town. The view from the porch was beautiful and you can even enjoy the view from the hot tub. My favorite feature of the house was the large windows over looking the view. The only complaint that we have is the lack of bright lighting inside the cabin.

Fantastic Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is adorable! It was easily accessible and not too far away from conveniences (gas station, drug store, etc.) yet still private with plenty of natural views. It was immaculately clean and the decor was so fun and cozy. Everything we needed was there. My husband especially enjoyed the wood stove and we would have enjoyed the hot tub but it was way too cold the weekend we were there to think of going outside in less than Antarctic attire. Maybe next time! We spent time in Black Mtn which was just a short drive away. Lots of cute shops and good eats - Blue Ridge Biscuit Company, Pepperoni's Pizza, and The Trailhead. We maybe had a little too much fun at Pisgah Brewery where there was a good variety of delicious beers and a free band on Friday night. Since it was too cold for outdoor fun, we headed into Asheville (also just a short drive away) and checked out the Antique Tobacco Barn which had all kinds of interesting things. (Note: the Antique Tobacco Barn is not climate controlled so keep that in mind if you're going there...but it's totally worth the hypothermia or heat stroke if you are into antiques and "junk"!) We also went to the River Arts District on Depot Street in Asheville which had numerous galleries with a variety of local artwork. The last day of our stay was a little warmer so we were able to get in some hiking on the trails in nearby Montreat which was beautiful! I highly recommend this cottage and location. I can't wait to come back!

Did not disappoint!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first "big" vacation with our 19-month-old and it was wonderful. Upon arrival to the cabin, it was clean, welcoming and cozy. We knew from reading previous reviews and looking through photos that it was cute, but the little details are so fun. Our daughter was very comfortable and we enjoyed everything the cabin had to offer. We also brought along our Border Collie, who had plenty of room and enjoyed catching some frisbee in the yard. The cabin is situated in a really nice location, too. It was just a short drive to coffee, dog parks, hiking trails and only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Asheville. This was a really great place to stay, we'll hopefully be back!

Fantastic location to dive into all that the area has to offer. Nearby attractions include the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, the Biltmore, shops, and restaurants. The River Arts District is a not to be missed introduction to the local art scene in Asheville. Another sure bet for art lovers is the Folk Art Center - home to the Southern Highland Craft Guild, conveniently located nearby on the Parkway. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are an easy day trip from the cabin. Warren Wilson College is in Swannanoa , which offers miles of trails to explore and a farmers market in warmer weather. With Asheville 11 miles away and Black Mountain just 6 miles away, and a sweet little cabin like this to hang your hat, you can't go wrong!
