What makes this House unique
Spacious and central location is definitely a plus. Also like the fact that the neighborhood is growing and offers great local coffee houses, restaurants, and bars.

First time to DC
The property was as expected. The decor could have been better and the counters were very tall.
Great location, strange home
VRBO helped us re-book here at the last minute after a previous booking fell through. Even though this place was considerably more expensive, VRBO honored our original booking rate (thanks VRBO!). Upon arrival we immediately noticed a very strong odor of marijuana smoke. At first we thought it was from the previous guests. We smelled it - very strongly - again later that night and we determined that it was coming from the basement, which is rented to another tenant. We went out to eat after dropping our bags off the first day. When we came back, the manager was in the home doing laundry. Shocking at first but she was pretty cool. The strangest thing about this place was that it seemed like it was custom built for a very, very tall person. All the countertops, cabinetry, and sinks were almost a foot higher than normal. Nice Keurig coffee maker with pods and sugar, but no creamer. Comfy master bed but gets a lot of light early in the morning. This is an urban rental, so expect lots of street noise. The neighborhood was fantastic with great bars, restaurants, and a liquor store within walking distance. Would not stay here again at the full rate but at the deal we got I'm certainly not complaining.
So clean, spacious, and readily available for contact.
I loved staying at Mr. Powell’s home. It was very clean, beds were super comfortable, and the home was really spacious. Mr. Powell is also readily available for any contact and will respond very quickly, Additionally, he has thorough instructions for parking as well as getting the keys (and what to do to prevent being locked out). Thanks for an amazing stay!
Very nice property! Well equipped kitchen new appliances & comfortable beds made our stay very pleasant.
The house had a leaky ceiling as a result of which we could not use the master bath and the living area down stairs. We were a family of six and it was not very convenient. This problem didn’t arise suddenly and the owners told us about it after we landeded in DC and are on our way to the property. If they had given us a choice before we would have preferred to stay some where else. They did have a plumber come and put some caulking in the bath but it continued to leave. At the time of check out we did email the owner about it . Would have liked to hear something about it but no response from him. Looks like after he got his money he doesn’t really care if the guests had a comfortable stay or not.
Other than that this the place is clean, well equipped and in good location. May be if the attitude of the management is a bit more concerned with the comfort of the guests I would have rated it a little higher.
The house was clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The kitchen was well stocked.
